Few anime have had the range or the character development thatOne Piecehas, but that makes sense considering it has hundreds of episodes. The tale of Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hats is a compelling tale with something for everyone.

When watching the crew and their adventures, you may be curious about which of them you’re most like. Well, for those who pay attention to zodiac signs, that’s one easy way to connect to the characters. Whether you want to know about what character your friends would be in the show, or you yourself, here are the zodiac signs as One Piece characters.

Zoro biting his swords hilt in the One Piece anime

12Scorpio - Zoro

The Deadly Swordsman

A water sign, despite the sometimes passionate and hot-headed nature of Scorpios, Zoro is a pretty solid embodiment. While he often exudes a collected nature, Scorpios often use their more emotional side to fuel what they believe in, such asZoro’s sword workand care for his shipmates in battle.

He is not without his faults, to be sure, but he is incredibly hard-headed about what he believes in and what he wants to accomplish. Such is the case with most who share the sign with him. Plus, he does sort of look like a scorpion with that three-sword style of his.

11Taurus - Nami

The Stubborn Navigator

The Taurus sign and Nami fit each other pretty well, such is how hard-headed and stubborn Nami is. Focusing a lot on the physical world and worthwhile items, being hard to dissuade, but being a true friend when the time comes; sounds like someone?

Nami may be a little more inspired by her emotions, but it’s that focus on gut feelings and instincts that once again connects her to this powerful and leadership role of an earth sign that makes it hard for anyone to stand in her way.

Franky sweating in One Piece.

10Sagittarius - Franky

The Resourceful Mechanic

Half-horse, half-man, or maybe half-man, half-machine? Either way, the Sagittarius sign best fits Franky out of all the Straw Hats out there. His curiosity and willingness to experiment are shown often in his craftsmanship either on ships or on his own body.

He is a healer in nature, but one that focuses on healing the hearts of those around him with his humor, as well as being an actual healer of the Thousand Sunny, which is practically a crew member at this point.

Chopper ready to fight in One Piece.

9Libra - Chopper

The Loving Doctor

Tony Tony Chopper is a healer, lovable character, and aDevil Fruit user; plus a strong sense of what it is to be a Libra. Symbolized by the scales, they want to see equality and balance in the world, something that Chopper embodies in his work and in being a calm voice when there’s an argument on the ship (something that often happens).

Libras are often intellectuals and ruled by softer emotions. Chopper’s work as a doctor is the perfect show of this, and while his soft emotions often make him seem weaker, that is far from the case. Few are as caring and as compatible with others as Chopper is.

Jinbe looking angry in One Piece.

8Pisces - Jimbei

The Stoic Helmsman

Jimbei makes a compelling argument in his characteristics to be a Pisces, and not just because he’s a Fishman. Calm, easily adaptable, and incredibly stoic at times, all of these traits embody Jimbei as well as Pisces as a whole.

All of these traits also allow him to be an amazing helmsman, which the Thousand Sunny is sure to benefit from as they continue on their adventures. Jimbei is a newer member of the crew but the Straw Hats and Pisces as well are surely happy to have him.

Sanji smoking in the One Piece anime

7Gemini - Sanji

The Reckless Cook

A person with dual sides, Sanji often feels like two characters in one. On one hand, he is a masterful chef, able to make amazing meals out of whatever the crew finds out on their adventures. On the other hand, he is also a bit reckless, especially where women are concerned.

It’s this binary that makes Sanji a powerful Gemini. Both in play and in their hobbies they are impressively passionate and will put their all into both, sometimes to their own detriment, which they see in the show often.

trafalgar law in wano outfit looking up one piece

6Capricorn - Trafalgar Law

The Confident Surgeon

Devil fruit user, masterful swordsman, and surgeon as well; Trafalgar Law is also a good match for what a Capricorn is. Confidence exudes from Law, especially when he gets angry or adamant about something, which he often does on his adventures.

His ambitions as a pirate are obvious, which is part of the reason he became a warlord of the sea, and has survived so long with such a high bounty on his head as well. He embodies the Capricorn’s sense of emotion, but power over them as well.

brook skeleton member of the one piece crew screaming

5Leo - Brook

The Brash Musician

Strong-willed, loud, and sometimes brash, Leo’s are one of the most vocal of the signs, and so is Brook. Before the time skip and before his death as well, he was a little calmer, but after the time skip his style and attitude became stronger.

His clothes, his music, and his fighting style are all powerful reminders of what it’s like to be a Leo. There are plenty of strong personalities on the straw hat crew but Brook still seems to stand out among them.

Usopp Makes Sugar Pass Out With His Special Attack

4Aquarius - Usopp

The Clever Inventor

Aquarius as an air sign is considered to flow like the breeze from one emotion to another, as does Usopp. The Straw Hat crew’s marksman and inventor, it makes sense that he would be an Aquarius since they often show traits like creativity and cleverness.

While one could argue that Usopp’s cleverness comes and goes, he does seem to often get out of dangerous situations that would defeat anyone else with just his brain alone. While not as emotional as some, his emotions and fear especially do get in the way of his inventiveness from time to time.

nico robin reading a paper one piece

3Virgo - Robin

The Quiet Researcher

Virgo are often logicians who use their minds to deal with complex emotions instead of letting emotions guide the way. They make for powerful scientists, or even researchers like that of Nico Robin.

Robin is one of the few crew members who would be more at home in a book or learning from places she finds herself in where much of the rest of the crew would rather fight or drink. Viewers see her perfectionist nature even when she fights though, using her devil fruit powers to end the fight as quickly as possible.
