Even though more than three years have passed since the launch of theXbox Series X, there will still be plenty of people out there who’d like one that doesn’t already have one. Whether the shortages held you back, you’ve been waiting for a few more exclusives, or the lofty price left you happy with the last-gen for a little longer,Xboxstill has a lot of people to sell to. In an attempt to get a few of those potential customers on board, it has slashed the price of the Series X, knocking $100 off the RRP.

Usually $499.99, the price the Series X has been since launch, Xbox has cut the price of its most powerful console to $399.99. Less than two weeks to go until December 25, so you know the reduction is no coincidence. Xbox wants to hook anyone who might be perusing new consoles as gifts for kids and loved ones this Christmas, and when a parent not particularly in the know sees an Xbox for $400 and aPlayStationfor $500, odds are they’re going to pick the Xbox.

Xbox Series X

Launched in 2020 in conjunction with the Xbox Series S digital-only console, the Series X is the disc version of Microsoft’s premier gaming platform.

There’s no catch to this deal. You don’t only get your Series X for less if you’re an Xbox Insider, or if you buy three years ofGame Passto go along with it. You don’t even need to bundle it with a game. All you need to do is click the link below and buy a Series X for $100 less than most people have for the past three years. I say most because there have been some deals where the Series X has been available for even less than $400, just not deals run through the official Xbox store.

Walmart cut the price of its Series X- both alone and bundled with games likeDiablo 4andForza Horizon- to less than $350. That started a ripple effect of other retailers doing the same,Amazonincluded, in a move that will have likely shifted a lot of Series X stock for the first two weeks of December. Worth checking if any other deals for the Series X and its bundles are still active, but if not, you can still get one for $100 less right from the source.

If you’re looking for other consoles for less this holiday season, the new Smash Ultimate Switch OLED bundle is also sort of on sale. Even though the bundle is brand new, GameStop has a deal right now that saves customers $25 on any purchases above $250. Since the Smash OLED Switch bundle is $350, buying it through GameStop means you get it for $325 instead.
