As a rule, we will be counting the mostplayer-summonablesummons in each Final Fantasy. That is to say, the creatures that we, as players, can call upon. This is done to prevent the titles with far more summonappearancesthan genuinespells, such as Final Fantasy 14, from running away with a crown. Don’t worry, Warriors of Light; we’ve given this subcategory its own section.

The Most Summons In Any Final Fantasy Game
And now for the grand prize. Which Final Fantasy, counting all those myriad spinoff games, has the most summons? First, the runner-up:Final Fantasy 12: Revenant Wings. This Nintendo DS real-time-strategy sequel, starring Vaan and Penelo as full-fledged Sky Pirateschasing after a legendary treasure, has an eye-widening51 summonsseparated into six elements, with three varieties of each (Melee, Flying, Ranged), and then a further trio of ranks within each variety.
The champion of summon roster supremacy isFinal Fantasy Dimensions 2. The number?63. Formerly apremium mobile gacha game,Square Enix surprised the world when, after shutting it down, they launcheda full-fledged single-player version. The game is robust enough to be well worth its ~$15 asking price, but if you’re just plain uninterested in playing games on your iPhone or Android, Revenant Wings has the biggest haul.
Final Fantasy Dimensions 2 tells a complete story from beginning to end via the chapters that had previously been released on a monthly basis. That said, the endingdoeshint toward a third arc which never materialized, given Dimensions 2’s gacha-based closure, but you won’t be left with open-ended questions regarding the main plot.
The Most Summons, Counting Non-Gameplay Creatures
Here we go. At last, beloved Final Fantasy 14’s time to shine. Have you heard of the critically acclaimed MMO Final Fantasy 14, now with a free trial that goes up until Level 70 and the entire Stormblood Expansion? Well, you should play it.But, as it turns out, that’s beside the point.Even between A Realm Reborn, Heavensward, Stormblood, Shadowbringers, and Endwalker, the current tally for Final Fantasy 14’s uncontrollable Primals rests at a mighty 48.
Now, this number will, presumably, only grow with time. If there are Primals to be found in the lands beyond the Warrior of Light’s familiar haunts, we will just have to add them to the list. But as it stands, the answer remains the same:Final Fantasy Dimensions 2, with Final Fantasy 12: Revenant Wings in second place. Go figure!
