Hidden throughout the various stages of Petrichor V are several Strange Prisms. Finding and interacting with one of these will unlock a unique skin for a specific character, granting them a new color palette to enjoy during your runs inRisk of Rain Returns.
Of all the Survivors in Risk of Rain Returns, Acrid is the only one to get two Strange Prism skins. His first one, Calcium, can be unlocked in the final stage, Risk of Rain, while his second is unlocked in the secret stage, Boar Beach. Below, we’re going to take a look at how to get Acrid’s second Strange Prism skin, including how to get to Boar Beach.
Where To Find Acrid’s Strange Prism In Boar Beach
As mentioned above, Acrid’s Obsidian Strange Prism skin is unlocked inBoar Beach. This secret level can only be reached through the third stage,Ancient Valley. Specifically, you’re looking for the stage variation with theintact bridgethat connects the left and right sides of the map.
Once you’ve found this variation, head to thetop left part of the mapand find thebroken fence. Here,hold the up keyfor a second, and you’ll betransported to Boar Beach.
At Boar Beach, immediatelyturn to the leftand locate thegrey treethat has abranch extending below the surface. Move here and go down, holding the right key as you go down to move to the platform with the Environment Log when you fall.
Now, you’ll need tojump across the platformsunder the surface of the stage to reach Acrid’s Strange Prism. If you fall at any point, you’ll beteleported back to the surfaceand have to start again. Follow the steps in the image gallery above to know where to go.
You will need a fewHopoo Feathers, aPhoton Jetpack, or a Survivor with good mobility likeLoaderorPilotto make it across these platforms. Prepare accordingly before heading to Boar Beach to ensure you can reach the Prism.
At the rightmost side of the stage, after jumping across each platform, you will find Acrid’s Stange Prism. Simply move to it to unlock his second Strange Prism skin, Obsidian.
