Oreis one of the most necessary resources inPalworld. You’ll need it to craft metal ingots to be used in tons of crafting recipes, from metal tools to base structures. But where can you find it, and how do you farm it?
Just like stone, ore deposits are easy to find all over the map. Here we’ll tell you how to identify ore deposits and a couple of the best spots to find them. We’ll also discuss a few different ways to farm ore. So ready your pickaxe, and let’s chip away to find the information you need.
Where To Find Ore
Sometimes you might get a few pieces of ore when mining rocks, but if you want to get more you’llneed to find ore deposits. They are theselarge, reddish-brown marbled clustersthat sparkle at the top.
Sometimes you’ll find only one or two in any given area, butthere are some places where you’ll find more.
One of the best spots to farm ore, especially in the early stages of the game, isbehind the Desolate Church. Otherwise, some of the best areas to find ore deposits are around the mountains.
If you haven’t already established a base, it can’t hurt tobuild one where there are a few ore deposits.
Or, when you’veupgraded your first base enoughto be able to build two bases, find a spot with a large cluster of desposits,make that your secondary base, and put mining Pals to work farming ore for you.
How To Farm Ore
You’ll need a pickaxe in order to farm ore. In early game you’ll start with aStone Pickaxe, but as you progress and level up you can eventually craft better ones, like theMetal Pickaxeand theRefined Metal Pickaxe.
As you’re mining, though,keep an eye on your weight gauge filling up. If you’re not paying attention you’re able to too easily weigh yourself down and then you have to drop some of it to move.
Another way to farm ore isby using Digtoise. This Pal can be found in some of thedesert regions.
If you build a secondary base in an area where there are ore deposits,you can put Digtoise to work here. He’ll use his spin atttack to farm ore for you.
However, you’ll get a much better result byputting him in your party. Once you craftDigtoise’s Headband(unlockable onTechnology Tier 19), bring him out and when you’re near an ore deposit,activate Drill Crusher. His spin attack willbreak down the ore in mere seconds, making your ore farming much more efficient.
