This is themost usual way to find Frog Coins.TheSpecial Enemiesare stronger enemiesyou can find after engaging in combat.You won’t find them in every battle, but there’s a big chance of finding them.
The Special Enemies get this name asthey are stronger and live longer than the usual enemies.They have double the HP as a regular enemy of the same kind, and deal double the damage with their attacks, being even able to defeat weaker party members like Peach or Mallow with a single hit.
Other than extra damage and HP,the Special Enemies have no further changes.
You’ll geta single Frog Coin after defeating a Special Enemy.If you lose the battle,you won’t get the coin, and these aren’t affected by the Yoshi roulette you get if you manage to pull a “Lucky” Power-up.
Overworld
There will be instances where you canfindFrog Coins on the floor or in chests.Chests usually contain a single Frog Coin, while you can get loads of Frog Coins on the floor.
Mini-Games
There aretwomini-gamesthat grant Frog Coinsand you can use them to grind this currency.
The first mini-game isMidas River, which you’ll findeast of Tadpole Pond, shortlyafter leaving Kero Sewers.In this game, you’ll fall off Midas Falls, andyou must swim to get both coins and Frog Coins.
You can pull more than 80 coins with this mini-game.
The second game where you can get Frog Coins isCliff Scaling, which isin Land’s End.Here, the objective is toclimb up the cliff in the shortest time possible.If you do it under ten seconds, you’ll get a cool reward, the Troopa Medal, and if you do itover ten seconds, you’ll get Frog Coins.
Cliff Scaling is theeasiest and quickest wayto get Frog Coins.
