During your adventure inSuper Mario RPG, you’ll be going through a lot of hurdles; weapon-shaped enemies with a thirst for blood, weird ladies and chunky birds with shady intentions, gigantic Piranha Plants with sharp teeth, and a big lot of Goombas, Koopa Troopas, and Shy Guys. The usual stuff.
Nonetheless, the game always gives you a helping hand before facing these hurdles, thanks to the shops, which usually sell armor pieces. Without armor, Mario and his friends would fall upon any contact. Thankfully, as enemies get tougher, the armor up for sale gets sturdier, adapted to the point of the adventure when you find them.
All Armor In Mushroom Kingdom
Your quest for getting sturdier starts inMushroom Kingdom.At this point, you’ve already met Mallow, and you’ll be heading towards Tadpole Pond, searching for Peach. The shopis near the eastern entrance of the town.

All Armor In Rose Town
Your next stop is inRose Town.Here’s when you’ll meetGeno, butyou won’t be able to suit him yet.The toads here are getting paralyzed by Bowyer’s arrows, so you’ll need some good extra defense tosort the Forest Mazeand reach the evil bow. The shop isin the east of the town, inside a big building.Talk with the lady toad;she’s in charge of the armor.

All Armor In Moleville
After defeating Bowyer, you’ll continue hunting for stars,taking you to Moleville.Here, you’ll explore the mines and take onthe evil Punchinello, a bomb enthusiast. The shop in this town is in the west, and you musttalk with the lady moleto get the goods.

Peach joins the party at this point, so there’s armor available for her, too.

All Armor In Barrel Volcano
Mallow finally manages to find and free their parents from the cruel Valentina. As a reward, they tell Mallow that there’s a star inBarrel Volcano, so the group heads there. Midway through the exploration, you’ll find a special Toad namedCinder Toad, who has a shop.It’son the main pathof the Barrel Volcano.

Lazy Shell
The Lazy Shell armoris accessibleduring your time in Nimbus Land.When climbing upBean Valley, you’ll find aBeezo(or a flying Shy Guy)watering a Piranha Plantstuck in a pipe. Jumping on the pipe will unleasha battle against Smilax.
As you defeat it, you’ll see how Beezo flies away anda note gets stuck in a wall nearby. Interacting with the note willgive you the Seed.But that’s not all; you also need an item namedFertilizer.
Get up Nimbus Land andgo to the east until you hit the invisible wall.Keep walkingwhile pushing forwarduntil you find a hidden zonewith an invisible floor.Here, you’ll find Beezo again, who does not want to get stomped by Mario, sohe gives you the Fertilizer.
Now, it’s time tohead to Rose Town.If you go to thenorth, you’ll find anentrance leading to a new zonewith a single house. That’s the house of the gardener. As you give him the Seed and the Fertilizer, the gardener will plant them, anda giant beanstalk will appear.
Climb it, and you’ll find two chests.Open them, and you’ll findtwo Lazy Shells; one is a weapon, and the other one is the armor piece.
