Clay is a necessary crafting material inEnshrouded, used to createFired Brickswhich you’ll need to craft theKiln. Clay is found mainly in theRevelwoodarea which the game will send you to as part of the main quest. First complete theRevelwood Spireto anchor in a fast travel spot, and then head to the spots we detail below to find Clay.

Clay can be harvested with a regular Scrap Pickaxe - we recommend picking up at least60 Clayon your first harvesting run as this will set you up nicely for essential crafting recipes.

Where To Find Clay

Clay is plentiful in Revelwood, but the area shown above is directly next to the Spire which makes fast travel and return to your home very quick.

You can also get your hands onClayandCopper Oreif you head further towards the Mark Of Sameth. This area is shown on the map below.

You can easily fast travel to Revelwood Spire, glide down into the forest, then run a short distance to find both Clay and Copper Ore deposits on top of each other.

There are a few level 13 enemies here, but they can be ignored - just run past the mushroom monsters, and they won’t bother you or chase you for very long.

Clay Crafting Recipes

Clay is used to craft theKilnandFired Bricks.

The Kiln is crafted at theCarpenterand will require10 Lumps Of Clayin total. Don’t stop there though, as once you’ve crafted the Kiln you’ll need to craftFired Brickswhich requireone Clay per Fired Brick.

You’ll need50 Fired Brick in totalto craft theSmelterwhich is used to createCopper Bars, the next tier of crafting material afterMetal Scraps.
