Exploring the cursed region ofPrince Of Persia: The Lost Crownmeans having to solve different puzzles, vanquish formidable enemies, and navigate the map and its many secrets. The early game will be spent learning the ropes while the plot unfolds around you, leading you to uncover the truth that drives Sargon forward.
Once you progress far enough, you’ll wind up in the Depths of the Citadel, which is a dangerous and unforgiving place. Everyone in the depths was left to rot, and you’ll have to find a way out–that is, if you can retrieve your map and find your bearings again. Thankfully, we’ve already wandered through the dark for you.
Where To Find The Old Man
Upon falling into the depths, you’llfind the Old Manwaiting for you. He’ll give you back your swords, buttake the Eye from youand have you chase after him.Without your map, you’ll have to rely on your own intuition to find the old man after he runs off.
You’re free to explore, but until you catch the Old Man, you won’t have access to your map.
Once you regain control of Sargon, head right to the next room. Avoid the spike traps and insteadstep on the breakable platformsthat will let you drop down further into the depths. From there, head left and continue up the stairsinto the next chamber.
You’ll see the Scrapper crawl away here, and you’re able to find him later to trade Xerxes for new amulets and rewards.
However, your focus should be on getting your map back first so you’re able to backtrack to his location later.
Beware the spike traps rotating in the room, just below the sloped path. Jump onto the platform above them to get a better vantage point if need be.
You’ll need toscale the walls down past the rotating spikes. Head either right or left andgrab the handle on the wallto retract the spikes in your way.
Carefullyjump between the remaining spikesand make your way to the right topursue the Old Maninto the next chamber.
Make sure not to step in the poison, as it will slowly drain your health. Larger pools of poison will eliminate you instantly.
Interact with the Wak-Wak Tree to replenish your health and potions before proceeding to the next chamber and continuing right. You’ll face a few rat-like enemies here, so either deal with them or dodge past them to continue your chase.
Continue right, towards the elevatorto the Citadel. Drown down beneath the floorboards and head right. You’ll find conveyor belts and more spikes.Above is a leverthat can help, even though it’s caged off.
Fire an arrow at itto change the movement of the conveyor belt, thencarefully descend and dash between the different rotating spikesto reach the ground.
If you head to the left before dropping down, you can replenish your arrows.
Head left once you hop off the conveyor belts.Dash between the spikesabove and below you to reach the next chamber. Continue left to follow the old man towards another elevator.
This one is smaller and opens on both sides. Rather than proceeding left, take the elevator down, then go through the opening on the left. Continuefurther into the depths, dropping down and making your way to the left again.
Before following the old man into the next room, make sure to head right at the fork and interact with the Wak-Wak Tree.
How To Solve The Depths Puzzle
As you cross the platforms, you’ll sense a rumbling from below. Thepoison has begun to riseand you’re running out of time to evade it. Quicklydart between the spikeson your left and grab the handle on the wall.
Temporary platforms of sludge and bone will emerge. You canuse them to get further acrosswithout touching the poison, though they can only help you for so long.
From the wall, hop over the next spikes and use the temporary platforms to reach the next wall. Climb the wall and dash to reach the platform in the middle of the room.
Jump from there to the bar and swing between the rotating spikes on your left to land on another temporary platform. Grab the handle on the wall and dash over the spikes to the right. Quickly pull the lever to drain the poison.
Carefully make your way back down and drop between the spikes lining the walls to reach the deepest part of the Depths yet.
Where To Find The Alternate Sargon Fight
After draining the poison and dropping below, head to your rightto find another Wak-Wak Tree.
Press on into the next room where you’llcome face-to-face with another Sargon, one who claims to have taken a different path than you. He demands you give him your powers and initiates a fight.
Try tokeep your distanceand avoid his attacks. He fights just like you, sohe can use any move you haveagainst you. You’re in for difficult fight, but not one you can’t survive.
When you defeat him, you’ll be able toabsorb some of his power: Arash’s Ray.
You can equip this new Athra Surge at the Wak-Wak Tree you discovered.
After the fight, continue to the right tounlock the Shadow of the Simurgh, which will allow you tocrystallize your current positionand action in a shadow. You can then return to the position andreplay the action, which is great for sneaking past moving machinery and other obstacles.
Head back to the right through the next couple of chambers tospeak with the Old Man, who is perched above you. He’ll warn you thatyou’re not the only one learning new powers, and he’ll also tell you that you’ve had your map with you the whole time. At least now you can see where you’re going.
