Every Survivor inRisk of Rain Returnshas several default skins that you can use to change up your character’s appearance between runs. In addition to these default skins, there are also a few additional skins you can unlock by completing certain challenges.
By finding hidden Strange Prisms scattered throughout Petrichor V, you can unlock new skins for a few different Survivors. Acrid is a special case, as he has two Prism skins to unlock. Below, we’ll take a look at how to unlock his Calcium skin, found in the final stage of the game, Risk of Rain.
Where To Find Acrid’s Strange Prism
Acrid’s Calcium skin is found in thefinal stage, Risk of Rain. As with other Strange Prism skins, you can unlock this Prism while playingas any character, but you need to firsthave Acrid unlocked. Additionally, to reach the hidden area where the skin is found, you’ll want to have a fewHopoo Feathers, thePhoton Jetpack, or play asLoader.
First, play through the game like normal until you reach the final stage. Here, head to theCabinand unlock it using aKey Card. Now, head to theback of the roomandjump straightup into the small gap above the Cabin.
Now, head to theleft, picking up theEnvironment Logif you have not already done so. Continue a few steps forward, and Acrid’sStrange Prismwill appear. Touch it and complete your run, and this skin will be unlocked for use.
Acrid’s First Prism Skin - Calcium
Acrid’s Calcium skin turns his red skin bone white, while the green ooze that usually leaks from his mouth is instead a ghostly blue. This skin is very similar to Acrid’s Anointed skin in the Starstorm mod for the original Risk of Rain, although there is no official confirmation that this is the case.
