Another collectible to add to your ever-growing list of collectibles inThe Sims 4are the multicolor tassels you’ll find hidden throughout the world of Tomarang added in the For Rent expansion. There are ten tassels in total, but finding them will take you all around Tomarang.
When you find all ten tassels in The Sims 4: For Rent, you’ll unlock an exclusive new CAS item that shows off your Sim’s impressive collecting skills in the most colorful and fashionable way. But to get all ten tassels, you’ll need to explore sand piles, caves, and tiger sanctuaries (or buy them).
Tassels Are A Collectible In The For Rent Expansion
As you go about exploring the world of Tomarang, the Southeast Asian-inspired world added in the For Rent expansion, you’ll no doubt begin findingmulticolored tasselshidden about.
In all, you’ll findten colors of tasselsaround Tomarang, which you’ll be locating in a variety of different ways as you check out the new region.
These tassels are a newcollectible item in the For Rent expansion, and their location is limited exclusively to Tomarang because of it.
But just because you know roughly where they mightbein Tomarang doesn’t make them any easier tofind- they’rescattered across Tomarangand will need to becollected in a variety of ways.
Whether it’sbuying themfrom the Tomarang Night Market, stumbling on them at theTiger Sanctuary, exploring the hiddenBeard Beard Cave, or justdigging in sand pilesalong the Tomarani beaches, you’ve got your searching work cut out for you.
Any Sim who’s already finished theFount of Tomarani Knowledge aspirationwill have unlocked theTomarang Expert trait.
Among other things, this trait helps ensure thatthat Sim finds tassels easierthan others, so using a Sim with this trait gives you a huge leg up in your search for the tassels around Tomarang!
What to Do
The Night Market
Head to the Night Market in the Morensong neighborhood of Tomarang to buy a few souvenirs. You can always purchase the same two tassels from the vendor on the corner of the two streets with the Night Market, which has a red tent over the table and sells assorted Tomarani goods and marbles.
The Sulea Tiger Sanctuary
Visit the Sulea Tiger Sanctuary behind the Screaming Gecko Lounge in the Koh Sahpa neighborhood of Tomarang
Beard Beard Cave
Swim over to the hidden lot in the far western part of the Koh Sahpa neighborhood (you can see the cave in the overworld map, but you can’t get right there and need to swim to it). You’ll find a cave your Sim can explore, called Beard Beard Cave. You’ll occasionally get the prompt that your Sim has found a hidden passageway, and when given the choice to stay or climb on the third prompt, always choose to climb. Doing so will yield a tassel. You don’t always get this prompt, though, so you’ll likely need to explore several times to find all the tassels.
The Beaches of Tomarang
Across the various beaches in the world of Tomarang, you’ll occasionally come across lumps of sand. Dig in these piles and your Sim will add a variety of items to their inventory, including but not limited to assorted tassels.
Any tassels your Sim finds in any of the above-mentioned ways willautomatically add the tassel to their inventory.
If you’re willing touse cheatsto save yourself the search, all ten tassels can also be found in the debug menu.
You can find them easier when you sort by pack, as the For Rent debug menu is fairly small and easy to navigate.
Collect All Ten Tassels To Unlock A Unique CAS Item
Once you’ve finished collecting all ten of the multicolored tassels waiting to be discovered around the tropical world of Tomarang, you’re able to unlock a new CAS item for your Sim and their entire household to enjoy.
This is aunisex shirtthat features all ten of the tassels you just found in The Sims: For Rent. You can see it while dressing your Sim in CAS beforehand, but without first collecting all ten tassels, the item is locked and inaccessible.
After you’ve found all ten tasselshidden throughout Tomarang, make sure each of the ten tassels isin your Sim’s inventory, and then click one and choose theCombine Tasselsoption.
This unlocks the shirt for every member of that Sim’s household. They can immediately change into the shirt by entering Create-A-Sim from a dresser and changing into it as they would any other piece of clothing.
