Remnant 2just dropped its first DLC, The Awakened King, loaded with fresh content. It introduces new locations, weapons, items, and secrets waiting to be discovered. One of these is the Misplaced Memoir. This Memoir is a quest item you might come across while exploring through the new DLC for the first time.
However, its purpose isn’t immediately clear, and there’s no hint on what to do with it. As a matter of fact, you can use the Misplaced Memoir in two different ways to get different rewards. This guide will cover everything you need to know about it.
How To Get The Misplaced Memoir
The instructions below arestrictly for your first run of the DLC, as it’s a one shot adventure. If you decide to reroll the DLC, the location of the Misplaced Memoirwill be random.
In order to find theMisplaced Memoir, first, progress through the DLC until youreach the World Stone known as Mournful Promenade. You’ll know you’re heading in the right direction when youspot a bridge leading to the castle.
Starting from this World Stone,go to the end of the bridgeand descend the ladder on the right side.Keep moving downwarduntil you come acrossa wooden bridge leading to a set of stairs.
Take those stairs andcontinue along the path to the right.Shortly after, you’ll encountera ladder. Climb up and continue followingthe path to the rightuntil youreach a checkpoint.
From there, take thepath on the rightsidethat leads to a dead end. It’s at this point where you’ll find and pick up the Misplaced Memoir.
What To Do With The Misplaced Memoir
As mentioned earlier, there aretwo ways to use the Misplaced Memoir, and each option gives youdifferent rewards. Now, let’s delve into the available choices.
Remember,in a single run, you’re able to only receive one reward, not both. If you’re aiming for the second reward, you’ll need to reroll the DLC.
Give The Misplaced Memoir To Leywise
You might have come acrossLeywiseat the beginning of your DLC adventure, but let’s include his location for those who haven’t.
Starting from thefirst World Stone named Forlorn Coast, move ahead until you findan entrance on the left sideleading to the sewers. Once inside,follow the path to the right, and you’ll soon spot Leywise from a distance.
When you first approach him, he won’t respond immediately. Keep interacting with him until the dialogue options appear.
Now, with the Misplaced Memoir in your inventory, look for the option “I have something for you.” Keep talking with him until you see another choice to “Of course (give tome).” Choose this, and you’ll hand over the Misplaced Memoir to Leywise.
He’ll express gratitude and reward you with theIndex of the Scribe amulet.
Index of the Scribe is an amulet thatincreases Mod and Skill weakspot damage by 35 percent.
Obtain The Bookbound Medallion And Get The Paper Heart Relic
To use the Misplaced Memoir in the second way,inspect the itemby opening your inventory. Select the Misplaced Memoir androtate the bookuntil youfind thelock.
Interact with it to open the Memoir and obtain theBookbound Medallion.
With the Medallion in hand, continue through the DLC until youreach the Chamber of the Faithless, just before encountering the One True King.From the World Stonein this chamber,follow the path to the rightuntil you reach a locked door.
Interact with the door anduse the Bookbound Medallion to unlock it.
Inside this room, you’ll spot an item in front of you; that’s thePaper Heart Relic.
Paper Heart is a relic that, upon use,heals for up to 100 percent of current health over 0.25 second. Gain one Stack per 10 percent health restored.
After 15 seconds,remove 10 percent of health per Stack. Kills remove one Stack.
