In a game where you’re more focused on collecting cute Pals and trying not to starve to death, it’s all too easy to forget that the weather will try to kill you, too.

Hot Weather can deplete your health bar as quickly as Cold Weather can, and at first, it can be a little daunting to figure out how to stave off the heat. Luckily, there are some special tools at your disposal to get through those pesky heat waves.

You will experience hot weather in places like theDesertor where there is so much fire or lava that youcan’t survive without being cooled.

If you’ve ever played Ark Survival, think about all the times youdied of heat exhaustionin the middle of a mountain. The same applies to Palworld.Planning your equipmentcarefully can be the difference between life and death.

When youpick up an accessory itemfrom a chest, it willautomatically slotinto the appropriate section of your inventory. You may not know when you have picked up something useful, so it’s worth it tocheck your previously-empty inventory slotsevery once in a while to see if you’ve looted something useful.

Base Equipment

In your Technology menu, you can also choose to learn the schematic forthe Cooler.

The Cooler functions like thefrosty equivalent to a campfire. Where a campfire keeps you warm on a cold night, the Cooler willkeep you cool on a warm day.

To craft a Cooler, you need to beat least level 18,and you will need20 Ingots, 20 Stones, and 5 Ice Organs.Atlevel 42, you will also be able to craft anElectric Coolerwith30 Refined Ingots, 10 Circuit Boards, 30 Ingots, and 10 Ice Organs.

Ironically, you will needboth Flame Organs and Ice Organsto craft equipment that keeps you cool.Flame Organis used tocreate clothing, whileIce Organis used to createmachinery and infrastructure.

Travel At Night

Another good way to keep yourself cool is totravel at nightrather than in the daytime. In the Desert especially, thedays are more brutal than the nights. The second the sun goes down, you’ll get relief from your sunburn.

Although, however much relief you may get from the heat, you will still need tokeep yourself warm at night. The Desert is a place of extremes and thetemperatures drop to freezing temperatures at night.

Try to keep at leastone Tropical Outfit and one Tundra Outfitor better in your inventory when traveling theDesert. That way, you’re covered forboth heat exhaustion and frostbite.

Other Things To Know

It’s also good to make sure you havesome kind of roof over your headin uncomfortable environments.Shelterprovides you with protection from the elements and opting tostay indoorsduring the most brutal hours of the day can save you in the long run.

For a shelter to be considered complete, itmust have a roof. You do not need to complete the whole shelter if you do not have the materials.Three walls and a roofis enough to grant you the benefits a shelter provides.
