The game that took off on Steam due to its horror and comedy aspects,Lethal Company, got an update during the early days of December that added some masks to the game. If you’re an early-game player, you might not even see these masks since they have a high chance of spawning on Rend, Dine, and Titan.
Both Tragedy and Comedy masks can simply be kept in the ship as loot and sold to The Company, but their main function shines out when one of your teammates tries to put it on their face. Here’s everything you need to know about what happens.

The Role Of Dramatic Masks
There might be two different kinds of masks in the game, but you first need to understandthat they essentially have the same role. Apart from being sold to The Company, any player in your lobby can put this mask against their face. When that happens, there’s a chance that the mask will randomly consume the individual using it.
When they’re being consumed, you’ll see the mask’s eyes turning red and the person won’t be holding it with their hands anymore. After a few seconds of animation, theperson with the mask will die and an AI will take over their bodyas they become The Masked. A few seconds after this happens, the AI-controlled body will start attacking nearby players.
you may identify the point when the AI takes over by looking at themask’s eyes since they turn black again.
If the Masked person gets close to any other player, they’ll run and attempt to grab them. If they succeed, they’llspew some poison on the player and convert them to the Masked as well. If you’re not careful with this item, you can easily end the run for your entire team. Thankfully, these Masked NPCs can be defeated with a few shovel hits or the Nutcracker’s shotgun.
Keep in mind that using a mask isn’t the only way to find this Masked enemysince they can generally spawn on the higher-tier maps as well. These enemies can follow you both inside and outside the main building, and they can even climb ladders.
Thankfully, the maskdoesn’t consume an individual if they’re used when the ship is in spaceand not on any moon.
Moreover, if you use them near The Company’s base, the mask will consume the individual butwon’t turn into an enemy.
