What Is The Black Widow Challenge?

The Black Widow Challenge, created bySimalot, is a challenge whereyour goal is to marry and kill off as many rich spouses as you may, to gain wealth. Your Sims is a serial romantic who wants tons of money and as many partners as possible.

The challenge gives players a good amount of creative freedom, from creating the Sim you want to be the Black Widow to how you kill off your spouses. It’s one of the best storytelling challenges out there.

How To Start The Black Widow Challenge

Start this challenge bycreating your Black Widow Sim. You’re allowed a fair amount of freedom with this Sim, but make sure they area young adult and have the following traits:

The Black Widow Sim will alsoneed to have the Serial Romantic Aspiration, to romance as many Sims as possible. This can be found under the Love Aspirations.

It’s also important that youset the lifespan for Sims to normal, andturn off aging for all Sims but your own. Move this Sim into any lot, and you’re good to go.

What Are The Black Widow Challenge Rules?

There are a few rules to follow when it comes to the Black Widow Challenge. Most importantly,no cheats are allowed. This includes money cheats, since all wealth is supposed to come from the Black Widow’s spouses.

While there are no mods or cheats allowed during the challenge,you may reset your Sim if they get stuck somewhere. Shift-click on the Sim and hit Reset Object (Debug) to reset them if they’re stuck.

You are alsonot allowed to use any modsduring the Black Widow Challenge.

When it comes to romance,your Black Widow can only marry single Sims. No stealing spouses from other Sims. If you want to do this, you’ll need to delete the family of the desired spouse.

Your Black Widow Simcannot repair any broken objects. They have to replace them using Simoleons. No hard labor here.

Finally,your Black Widow cannot have a job at any pointin their lifetime. All money has to come from marriage.

When playing the challenge, many story aspects are up to you. You Black Widow can have children, but they don’t have to. Your Sim can also choose to keep all the Urns

Black Widow Challenge Storyline

Once your Black Widow is placed on their lot,their first goal is to find their first spouse. Build up the relationship enough to propose marriage to that Sim, and have a big, fancy wedding. Your Black Widow Sim will now havethe combined funds of both households. You can either move into your spouse’s lot or move them to your Black Widow’s home.

Once your Sim is married,host a Dinner Partyandachieve the silver rating on the party. This is to show that your Black Widow appears to be the perfect wife.

A silver dinner party is easiest achieved by leveling up the Cooking skill, so your Sim makes good food and desserts, andleveling up your Charisma skillby interacting with other Sims, or practicing a speech in a mirror. These skills are necessary to complete the challenge, so build them up early.

But your Black Widow wants more. Find another Sim that your Black Widow wants to romance, andcheat on your spouse. The goal is to get caught by your Black Widow’s spouse, so they have a good reason to kill them.

Bring your affair partner to your Sim’s house, and perform romantic interactions with them in the same room as your spouse.

Becoming The Black Widow

Once caught cheating, it’s time to begin killing.You can kill the Black Widow’s spouse in any way you’d like. The easiest way is to simply build a room around the spouse with nothing in it, so the spouse starves to death. However, you can get creative.

Once the Black Widow’s spouse is dead,keep the urn or tombstone on the lot, and label it “Killed by the Black Widow”. This is an easy way to keep track of how many dead spouses your Sim has.

Once your Sim’s spouse is dead, it’s time to marry again.Repeat these stepsas many times as you can before your Black Widow Sim dies.

Your Black Widow can have more than just one affair partner at a time. You can romance multiple Sims while in a marriage, but you only need to get caught with one to kill the spouse.Having multiple at any time is the best way to get closer to completing the Serial Romantic Aspiration.

How To Complete The Black Widow Challenge

In order to complete the Black Widow Challenge successfully, there are some requirements you need to meet.

The most important challenge objective isto marry and kill at least ten spouses before your Black Widow Sim dies. As long as they’ve done this, and had a silver Dinner Party, they’ve done it.

There are extra levels of challenge for players to go for. Here are the different levels of completion, and what you need to do to meet them:

Black Widow Challenge Tips

To complete the challenge,make sure you’re building up your Black Widow’s CookingandCharisma skills during their lifetime, preferably while your spouse is busy with work or other tasks.

Romance as many Sims as you’re able to find to help complete the Serial Romantic Aspiration.This can include married Sims, so long as you don’t marry that affair partner.

Because the Sim lifespan is set to normal,you only have 28 Sim days to complete the challenge on Legendary. You will have70 days to complete it on Specialist. If you’re going for Normal or Novice, your Sim just needs to complete all objectives before they die.

While most Simmers attempt for Normal on the first try, completing legendary is the most rewarding. If you complete the challenge on Legendary, your Sim can live out retirement without having to romance anyone else and enjoy their wealth in peace.
