Lego made its imprint in the gaming world long before it arrived in Fortnite, with hit series like Lego Star Wars and Lego Marvel Super Heroes. However, these games are more action-adventure oriented, which can be hit or miss for the toy’s traditional brick-building fan. Fortunately,Lego Fortnite’sconstruction mechanics provide creative opportunities that fully embrace the toy’s foundational properties.
One of our favorite features in Lego Fortnite is itsblueprints, which provide complete, structurally sound building plans. Not only are these blueprints great for beginner Lego architects, but they also showcase the game’s diverse assortment of building blocks. Here are some of our favorite blueprints to build.

TheSimple Shacklives up to its namesake. It is, indeed, simpleand ashack. But don’t let its shabby appearance fool you. The Simple Shack is a valuable blueprint for beginners. Its resource requirements are minimal, and its building time is a mere three stages.
But why splurge on a Starter Shack when you can save your wood for more elaborate Log Cabin blueprints? Starter Shacks arenecessary for crafting since they provide shelter from the rain. Otherwise, you and your villagers must wait for dry weather whenever you wish to craft. And that’snot conducive to survival.

So, you built your Starter Shack and realized you needed more space. That’s not a problem! you may make a more spaciousPorch Shackinstead. The Porch Shack is a more malleable beginner blueprint due to its extended area.
Looking for some ideas for your new Porch Shack? Consider these:

One of the external dangers you’ll face in Lego Fortnite’s Survival Mode isattacks from enemy villagers. So, you’ll need high structures to help you spot incoming intruders. TheLog Lookoutis a suitable beginner blueprint when you need a lookout built fast.
The Log Lookout’s usefulness is not limited to Survival Mode. As demonstrated in the screenshot above, you may alsouse this blueprint as a staircaseto enter buildings placed on elevated land. (Excuse the shoddy construction. We’re still figuring out roofs. It looks like it’s time to enroll in Architecture 101.)

High lookout points aren’t exclusively for monitoring enemies. They’ll also give you a better view of the world surrounding your village. This vantage point is fantastic forfinding new resources or tracking Rift Butterflies.

The best offense is a strong defense. Therefore, providing your village with security is a must in Survival Mode. That’s why we recommend thePalisade Gate, a perfect inclusion to your fortification.
We love the Palisade Gate because of its low resource requirement and build time. It’s also ahelpful starter piece when you’re new to building walls, providing an even-level foundation to connect your surroundingfortress. Just make sure the gate is facing the outside of your fortress (Not for technical reasons. It just looks tacky when visitors can see the Lego side of your entrance, IOHO.)

When you’re ready to upgrade from the Log Lookout, build aLog Watch Tower. This intermediate-level design provides a higher vantage point and an enclosed Log Cabin topper (pretty shabby if you ask us!).

You could always build a custom watch tower if that’s your preference. But we prefer the Log Watch Tower because it provides aperfectly proportioned Log Cabinblueprint. If you’re less familiar with the dimensions of individual Lego building pieces (i.e., foundations, floors, walls, roofs), constructing any enclosed space is too significant a challenge.
The Pleasant Park category of blueprints leans heavily intosuburban aesthetics, which is apparent with thePleasant Pavilionblueprint. The Pleasant Pavilion is a gorgeous, open-air recreational space perfect for hosting your next villager get-together.

We’re unsure if this is a game bug or a unique trait of the Pavilion, but we love how this building can house local flora. For instance, look at our screenshot above. The burgeoning birch tree grew through our Pavilion, thus providing a welcoming natural aesthetic.

TheLonely Lodgeis one of our favorite Log Cabin blueprints because of its gorgeous combination of new and old aesthetics. While the logs give this space a rustic look, wide-paned windows add a modern embellishment (and tons of natural light). And take a look at that porch! This cabin has’vacation home’written all over (which makes the ‘Lonely’ moniker contradictory).
You’ll want to pay close attention while roofing your Lonely Lodge. The roof’s cross-shaped design utilizes various pieces that will broaden your roof construction knowledge immensely. Want to know thedifference between a gable and a ridge? This blueprint will break it down for you.

TheSpacious Houseis a mammoth structure that requires four different types of resources and twenty-four stages to build. But every bit of time and resources is worth it. This home hastwo stories, a spacious ground floor, and several bedrooms. Plus, look at that gorgeousbay window!
The Spacious House’s only drawback is, well…that it’s spacious. So,finding enough level ground to build uponcan become difficult. We dealt with this issue firsthand when our Spacious House’s foundation crumbled before we began construction. Fortunately, replacing the lost foundation and adding a support beam quickly fixed the problem.

You’ll love the Shogun Palace blueprints if you’re looking forpure aesthetic beauty. Inspired by Japanese architecture, these elegant structures add regality and prestige to your burgeoning village. We prefer thePalace Towerover the Grand Palace blueprint since the former’s size is more manageable.
The Palace Tower provides plenty of functionality. On the one hand, thespacious first floor works well as a living spacefor you and your villagers. On the other hand, thetower’s height and multiple outdoor balconies provide plenty of vantage pointsfrom which to view your surroundings.

Our favorite Lego Fortnite blueprint so far is the aptly namedGrand Manor. This standout from the Majestic Manors blueprints features acourtyard, several granite towers, and dazzling design flourishes. One look at the manor’s meticulous Lego sculptures will make you fall in love.
With all of that said, the Grand Manor is anelaborate blueprint fit for expert builders. The structure requires over 700 resources and takes a whopping 59 stages to build. While these needs won’t cause issues in Sandbox Mode, they may cause issues in Survival Mode if you’re ill-prepared. Either way, every Lego Fortnite player should experience building this masterpiece at least once!
