Over the years,Fortnitehas worked to evolve the Battle Royale mode that made it famous with everything from new maps and modes to new mechanics that increase the intensity of each match. One of the improved mechanics in the last year is Hot Spots, which provides the engagement of the late game at the start of each match.
While they’re easy enough to find with their gold names, Hot Spots will also give you a fair amount of a challenge due to their popularity as landing spots and for better loot.

What Are Hot Spots In Fortnite?
Hot Spots are what the name implies:popular spots for players to landat the start of the match, providing better opportunities to get ahead than the standard points of interest (POIs). There are usually multiple Hot Spots per match, which gives everyone a chance tospread out instead of being concentratedat a single location.
Hot Spots can change each match, so make sure tocheck in the pre-game lobbyto prevent yourself from being rushed when the bus leaves.

Hot Spots areone of the easiest things to findon the map at the start of every new matchdue to the golden color of the POI’s name. You won’t see it until you get into the pre-game lobby; at this point, you can open the map and see whichdirection the battle bus is heading alongside the golden POIs.
Landing at a Hot Spot might mean a faster elimination, asit usually comes down to who lands firstand closest to a weapon.
The Benefits Of Hot Spots
While they provide an additional challenge due to the number of players that land there,Hot Spots also have a better chance of spawning high-quality lootbased on the number of options available. This loot can be found in chests or drones flying across the sky over the POI, beingbranded with Ship It! Express company logosas of Chapter Five.
While you can spend time searching for chests around the Hot Spot, you canpick up any nearby gun and take out some of the dronesinstead.
They havea chance to contain up to Legendary loot, but it’s a gamble.
There areseveral drones around the Hot Spot, usually seen and heard flying at different heights in the sky. Looking up for loot can be a good alternative to running through every building, butshooting objects out of the sky will give a clear signto any opponents that may also be outside.
As previously mentioned, another benefit can bethe sheer number of enemiesthat Hot Spots usually attract. If you’ve got a quest that involves enemy players, then there’s a pretty good chance you’ll be able to find some who’ve dropped at the Hot Spotat the start of the match.
