You have plenty of options for how you travel around, whether you want to cruise in style, or go on adventures in a more pragmatic ship.
Bethesda has also crafted an intricate ship building mechanic that means you may build, nearly, whatever your heart desires. An important component for being able to do this is a little piece called the companionway.
What Are Companionway Ship Parts?
In Starfield,companionway parts are unique modulesthat you can add to your ship. Thesefunction mostly as extra roomsthat can connect to different parts of your ship.
you may use them toconnect different sections, or toadd a ladder to connect different levelsof your ship. They don’t have a special purpose unique to them, buttheir addition can help you design a more spacious interior to your spacecraft.
Using these can also help you build your ship in a way thatavoids errors such as unattached modules.
How To Add Companionway Parts To Your Ship
In order to actually add these to your ship, you need tofind a Ship Services Technician or shipyard NPC. Select the option to “view or modify” your ship to then enter theship builder mode.
Switch through the module menus until you reachthe “Habs” tab. Pick which type ofcompanionway moduleyou want to begin adding. Theyusually come in a 1x1 size, with several variations to the interior design.
Companionway parts can also have portholes attached to them, which lets you have a nice window view out of your spaceship.
Where To Buy Different Companionway Parts
While there isa variety of designs for companionway partsin the game, they unfortunately aren’t all found at the same vendor. You will need tochat up different Ship Services Technicians or Staryard vendorsto see what they have to offer.
