The Finalsis a high-intensity, fast-moving, and action-packed multiplayer game by Embark Studios. There are a couple of different game modes to try your hand at in this gameshow-like first-person shooter, and each of them takes some skill to be the winning team.

In Quick Cash, you’re tasked with collecting as much money from vaults scattered around the map and depositing them safely. The goal is to reach the matches goal amount of cash before your enemies do. It’s a fast game where it’s easy to get confused, but thankfully there are some tips to help you succeed.

9Stay Moving

Speed Is The Key

Finding the cash is only the first step, now you have to get it to the bank location and deposit it. This is a prime opportunity for your competitors to swoop in and ruin your team’s day. Being the one carrying the vault puts a big target on your head and leaves you more or less defenseless.

The Finals is a fast-paced game, so it can be easy to get overwhelmed, but the key for any vault carrier is to keep moving. It may be tempting to sit awhile and think about the best route, but staying quick on your feet will keep you alive for longer.

You’d be surprised with how often a route to the cash box or out of danger can open up seemingly out of nowhere. That’s the fun part of The Finals’ maps, there’s always somewhere to go. So keep moving and think on your feet.

8Pick Your Steal Time

Making Money Moves

It may seem daunting to see an enemy team start the deposit process at a cash box, but they haven’t scored just yet. It takes some time for the process to complete, which gives you ample time to rush in and steal it. While you may get the urge to speed to the vault and steal it as quickly as possible, the sooner you steal it, the more time you have to defend it.

It can be incredibly helpful to lay in wait for the timer to get lower. Let the other teams weaken themselves and then hit the defending team when they are missing a player or two, and you know you may steal the cash deposit without having to defend forever.

Stealing an enemy deposit sets off an alarm. Make sure you and your team are ready for everyone to know what you’re doing before you begin.

7Know The Bank Locations

Lock And Key

There are three deposit boxes scattered along the map, and they’re going to see a lot of traffic before the match is over. The Finals moves quickly, but you should have a few moments at the beginning to figure out where they are.

At the onset of the match, find somewhere high up and familiarize yourself with the box locations and potential avenues to getting there. You won’t miss much as it takes time to get to the vault and then open it, so you should be able to catch up with the rest of your team before everything gets too hectic. The extra knowledge will be well worth it.

6Use Your Heavy

They Came In Like A Wrecking Ball

Each team member has their own skill set that you may rely on throughout the match. One thing players often see is when a team begins to deposit a chunk of cash, they’ll begin to fortify their positions, making it harder for you to bust in and take it for yourself.

That’s where the heavy comes in, whether it’s you or a team member, they should load up with as much destructive items as they can (rpgs, grenades, sledgehammers, etc.) and use their rush ability to start breaking stuff. Every wall, ceiling, and floor youput a hole inis a way to blindside the defending team with. Plus, the chaos that ensues is perfect for light players to get in and start stealing.

5Set Ambushes

A Deadly Surprise

Usually, teams will either try to be the first to a vault or focus on stealing from the box once a deposit starts, but there’s a third option that is often underrated. You and your team can begin setting up ambushes at key points along the routes your enemy may take.

Often you can do so early on in the match. Rooftops, skybridges, and alleys are great places to hide in wait. Often your enemy won’t notice your absence until it’s too late, and in The Finals getting the drop on your enemy counts for a lot.

4Watch For The Pings

Tracking The Enemy

Carrying the vault is a vulnerable time for anyone, teammate or otherwise. Players can move rather quickly, so it’s easy to lose track of them. Thankfully though, the vault will ping every few moments to let you know where the carrier is.

Hunting down the carrier can be a great way to switch the tide of the match, so keep an eye out for the pings and try to anticipate where they’re headed. Losing track of them will happen, but don’t go wondering off, pick a high point and wait for the vault to tell you where it is.

3Communicate

Use Those Chats

This is a go-to for any game mode, and honestly any team-based game out there, but make sure your team members all know what’s going on. Enemy health, the strategy for the match, what utility items you’re about to use; it’s all vital stuff to be talking to your teammates about.

It can be the difference between winding up at a location outnumbered and hitting an enemy team before they can respond. Thankfully for you and your team, there are team chat options and even some quick markers you can dropon your HUDto point out enemies and points of interest on the fly. Make sure to use them liberally.

2Fortify Your Position

Goo Walls Are Surpisingly Strong

Once you begin the deposit, or you have successfully begun to steal a deposit, you’ll have to hold out until it is completed. That means you’re pretty stationary for a few minutes, and the enemy teams are more than happy to take note of your disadvantage.

The best way to counteract this is by fortifying your position. There are plenty of different tools in your inventory and in your environment available to you when it comes to keeping the enemy at bay. Don’t be afraid to change the landscape to better suit you and your team.

Combining your resources is key here. Turrets, goo walls, goo guns, jump pads, incendiary grenades; there’s a wealth of different mixes to play with when it comes to making sure your enemies have a tough time reaching you.

1Destroy The Route

For Explosive Results

The world of The Finals is fragile, explosions warp the landscape and make or destroy new pathways across the map. Use that to your advantage. If you find the enemy has one specific route they favor from cash box to vault, throw some rubble in their way, drop a building on them, or even cover it with flames.

The more you can disrupt enemy movement, the more you can capitalize on any mistakes they make, and as often is the case in The Finals one mistake can often make a difference for every play the enemy tries.

There are often a handful of different explosives, gas canisters, and goo canisters within grabbing distance should you have run out of explosives of your own.
