At the risk of ruining the joke by covering it in a news article, comic book Twitter is flush with Photoshopped pictures of DC and Marvel shows and movies, turning their leads into different characters as people pretend they’re in a universe where The CW made aBladeshow. Oh wait, that’s real.
There’s The Spectacular Spider-Man with The Flash, Netflix’s Daredevil but it’s Batman, Black Manta in Spider-Man 3 instead of Venom… the list goes on. There’s a lot out there, and it all began with people pretending The CW had made a Spider-Man show. One fan, however, is taking things a step further.
Arkham Knight recently added the Robert Pattinson Batman suit, butfans weren’t happy with it, sothe modding community got to work.
Medi is modding Iron Man intoBatman: Arkham Knight, complete with alternate costumes taken from a breadth of different media. It started witha 616 modthat adds three of his suits - Extremis, Prime, and Back to Basics. They areextremelydetailed, but Medi has plans to add even more of Stark’s arsenal to the game.
Fans have been clamouring all week to share their recommendations for future suits. One commenter simply asked, “Where’s Mark 5, me boyo?” to which Medi replied., “I’m doing the MCU suits next, don’t worry”.
Others asked for the Stealth Suit, the old Model 8 getup, and his original red-and-yellow tin can style. But it’s not just Tony Stark that Medi has their eyes set on.
Marvel Duel recently added a Captain America costume that fans have fallen head over heels in love with, and Medi jumped at the opportunity with a tweet declaring that “His a** is going to Arkham Knight”. In the past, he’s brought Moon Knight, Mister Knight, and Daredevil to the game, so there are plenty of Marvel picks at the ready.
There are a lot of similarities between Batman and Iron Man as is - they both have a posh butler, they’re billionaire playboys, they love their over-the-top futuristic gadgets (read: toys), and they each play dress up with their new costumes that they keep in elaborate secret lairs. MCU Iron Man even has a teenage sidekick. So, Iron Man feels right at home in Arkham.
