While working for the company, you’ll be asked to land on certain moons and get enough items to fulfill your quota in a set amount of time. There are no extensions and the game instantly ends if you fail, making it a little Roguelike in nature.

Scanner Is Your Best Friend
The most important thing you need to know while playing Lethal Company is that yoursuit has an in-built scanner that can be used for various tasks. you may use this by pressing right-click on your PC, and it is used to highlight various items near you. Your scanner is the best way to locate loot nearby as most items in the game are easy to miss.
As soon as you enter the main building, start using the scanner constantly and anynearby item will be highlighted in green with their name and value displayed. You can then head over to the item’s location and move it to your inventory. Some items are large and you’ll have to actively have them in your hands.
The scanner can also be used tosee the path ahead a littlewhen you don’t have a flashlight.
This is especially useful when you’re trying to locate a platform to jump on.
You can also use your scanner when you’renear a creature to get their data in your terminal. Keep in mind that the scanner shows a red sign if you’vescanned any creature, landmines, or turrets, but not all of them are aggressive.
Get Yourself A Weapon
When you first land on any moon during the start of your run,you’ll already have about 60 currency in your account. This can be seen by accessing the terminal on the ship, and it’s important to use it to get yourself some survival necessities. For example, if you’re playing alone, the best items to buy are a Flashlight and a Shovel.
However, if you’re playing with friends, you won’t be able to get a lot of items for everyone. In this case, it’s important to at leastget one shovel so that one person can protect others from dangers. This item will also help you escape scenarios where smaller enemies are trying to camp you, thus preventing you from escaping.
Remember The Path You Take
There’s a way to counter every enemy you’re able to encounter in the game,but there aren’t a lot of ways to counter getting lost in the map. Every time you enter a normal map in Lethal Company, there’s at least one room that features a maze with a bunch of pathways, and it’s quite easy to get lost in them.
You can scan the main entrance and the ship when you’re outside,but the scanner won’t show you any exits while inside. It’s extremely important to keep track of the path you’re taking since you’ll have tofind the exit quickly if a monster is chasing you or if it’s too late.
You can try toleave some items or players behindat important sections of the map to keep track.
Learn How To Use The Terminal
While on the ship, you’ll see a main screen that shows you where everyone is and has a lever to start the shipand a terminal that does many other things. You’ll have to use this terminal to buy items, navigate to different moons, go back to the Company to sell items, and even remove various obstacles for your friends.
It can be a little difficult to get used to the console at first, but here are themain commands that you’d want to learn:
Function
Moons
Shows you information about all the moons and the weather effects on them. Ideally, you’d want toavoid the moons that are Flooded, Stormy, or Eclipsedif you’re just starting out. You can type the name of the moon you want to go to and then confirm.
This will set a course to the respective moon if you’re not there already, andthen you can land the ship and start the day through the main monitor.
Company
This command takes you to an option that lets you set course to the Company Building. It also shows thecurrent rate that the Company is buying for. You’ll only get the displayed percentage of the value of each item when you sell.
Store
This area displays all the items and their cost in the game. you’re able to check it out often tosee if there’s a sale on a particular item.
Bestiary
As mentioned above, you may scan enemies bygetting close to them and pressing the scanner button, which then gets their info in this section.
Other than the mentioned commands, you can alsoturn off turrets and open special metal doorsthrough the console.
Keep Track Of Time
When you first exit the ship in Lethal Company,you’ll be able to see a giant window displaying the current time. This window appears every time you’re out of the ship, but it disappears if you enter the main building. It’s important to go out every now and then to see the time since the ship automatically leaves at midnight.
You also get a notification when the ship is about to leave, both when it’sabout to reach midnight or if a dead person calls the ship. In these cases, it’s highly recommended to drop everything and rush back since you can get left behind quite easily.

While Lethal Company can be played solo by creating a private server,the game has a few glaring benefits for playing with a party. The main advantage is the reduction of pressure since you wouldn’t have to worry about getting defeated too much if you have some people to rely on. Here are a few other benefits:

Know How To Counter Enemies
Be it inside the main building or outside, you’ll regularly besurrounded by enemies that require you to do specific things to dodge them. you’re able to scan them to get a little bit of information on the terminal, but eventually, you’ll have to learn how to properly counter each one of them by yourself.
Thankfully, you may find plenty of railings when you’re inside the building, and these can be used tocounter various enemies like Thumpers, Spiders, and Slimes. For the first two, you can simply get on a railing where they can’t hit you and then shovel them to death without taking damage.
