Jujutsu Kaisen, one of the most popularanimeand manga of recent years, tells the story of Cursed Spirits and the Sorcerers who combat them. Every Sorcerer has their own range of special abilities, some of them more powerful than others. So, who among the many Sorcerers is the most powerful?
It’s worth noting that Sorcerers who use their powers for selfish or criminal ends are called Curse Users, but they’re functionally the same and will be considered together. Read below to find out which Sorcerers are the strongest.

10Hajime Kashimo
The God Of Lightning
Hajime Kashimo is a Sorcerer from 400 years prior to the events of the story, brought forward through time for the events of The Culling Game arc. Although not on the same level as a certain four-armed legend, he is still an impressive combatant.
Most of his techniques involve converting his cursed energy into electricity, earning him the moniker of God of Lightning. He can electrify his body and strike his opponent with lightning, which are difficult techniques to defend against.
9Aoi Todo
Grade 1 Gorilla
A Grade 1 Sorcerer while still a student, Aoi Todo is considered an overwhelmingly strong fighter. During the Kyoto attack, he defeated five Grade 1 Cursed Spirits, and one Special Grade, without the assistance of any other Sorcerer. For the Grade 1’s, he didn’t even need to use his technique.
His technique is rather simple. It allows him to swap the positions of anything with cursed energy with a clap of his hands. Simplicity is often the key to a powerful technique, though, as the constant swapping easily confuses opponents.
The best thing about it, though? The technique is called Boogie Woogie, which is always fun to say.
8Yuji Itadori
Sukuna’s Vessel
The protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuji Itadori, is only held back by being relatively new to the world of Sorcerers and Curses. He has immense cursed energy thanks to being the vessel for Sukuna, King Of Curses, but even before that, he possessed superhuman physical abilities.
Using cursed energy to reinforce his martial arts, Yuji has shown himself to be a prodigy when it comes to learning how to use cursed energy. He has shown to be extremely adept at using Black Flash, a technique most Sorcerers can’t grasp, suggesting he has unique potential.
7Uraume
The Frozen Star
Uraume is a Sorcerer who has existed for over 1,000 years, making them one of the most experienced people in the entire series. Their control of cursed energy is at an elite level, including the ability to use reversed cursed energy for healing.
Their techniques focus on the creation and manipulation of ice, freezing opponents, or generating ice shards. They can reshape a battlefield to better suit their whims, controlling the ice they create with expert precision.
6Yuki Tsukumo
Star Rage
One of very few Special Grade Sorcerers, Yuki Tsukumo is considered one of the world’s strongest Sorcerers. Not associated with Jujutsu High, Yuki is something of a free agent who is pursuing the dream of a world freed from curses completely.
Wielding a powerful shikigami, a kind of familiar, she uses it in conjunction with her Star Rage technique. This allows her to grant extra mass to herself or her shikigami, granting her attacks extreme destructive force. She also has an unseen domain expansion technique, as well as mastery of a simple domain and reverse cursed energy.
5Suguru Geto
The Worst Of All Curse Users
One of the primary antagonists of the series, Suguru Geto is playing a different game from other Sorcerers. While they engage in direct battles with each other, he’s more like aPokemonTrainer. His technique allows him to capture and control Cursed Spirits after they’ve been defeated.
This means his strength is linked to how many Curses he has captured, and how strong they are, allowing him to unleash them against others. At his maximum stockpile, he has over 4,000 Curses under his control, many of them extremely powerful.
4Yuta Okkotsu
Endless Cursed Energy
Yuta Okkotsu has more potential than perhaps any other character in the series. His cursed energy is considered to be bottomless, with a sinister nature. Before he was even aware that he could wield cursed energy, he accidentally cursed his childhood love as they died to stay with him, transforming them into a Cursed Spirit so powerful she was dubbed Queen of Curses.
He has shown that he can copy other people’s techniques with relative ease, making him a versatile and unpredictable opponent as well as being powerful. Compared to other Sorcerers, he is still relatively inexperienced. As he continues to develop his abilities, there’s potentially no cap on how strong he could become.
3Kenjaku
Mastermind
Kenjaku is a Sorcerer from over 1,000 years in the past whose innate technique allows him to take over the bodies of others, living or dead. He does this by transplanting his brain into the body he wishes to take, leaving signature stitch marks across the forehead.
Not only does he have several lifetimes of experience as a Sorcerer to draw upon, but he also gains access to the abilities of the body he inhabits. It has even been suggested that he retains the abilities of any body he has ever used, which would give him the widest range of techniques of any Sorcerer.
2Satoru Gojo
Limitless
Satoru Gojo is considered the strongest Sorcerer alive, although that alive part is an important caveat. Born with two extremely rare innate techniques, Limitless and Six Eyes, and a massive pool of cursed energy to draw upon, Gojo is considered more than a match for any opponent in the series, with one exception.
His technique makes him impossible to touch and allows him to manipulate space. He can create vacuums, and cause intense explosions and his unique eyes grant him enhanced vision as well as perfect control over his cursed energy.
1Sukuna
King Of Curses
Sukuna is a unique case in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, often being mistaken for a Cursed Spirit. The truth is that Sukuna was the most powerful Sorcerer to ever live, and upon his death, he sealed himself inside 20 cursed fingers. These fingers radiate cursed energy and can empower Cursed Spirits, but Sukuna himself is not a Cursed Spirit.
He’s considered the King of Curses, and the exact nature of his techniques remains a mystery. He can create invisible slicing attacks capable of cutting through even Special Grade Curses with ease, as well as having an unexplained pyrokinetic ability. His physical abilities are beyond the level of any other character, and he has more cursed energy than has ever been recorded. Yuta Okkotsu, a character with almost unlimited cursed energy, has stated that Sukuna has at least twice as much as him.
