What Are Rhymes Riddles In Alan Wake 2?
Rhyme Riddles are small puzzlesin Alan Wake 2, often characterized by their accompanyingpoems and drawings. You will encounter a Rhyme Riddle whenever you see a piece of papersurrounded by chalk drawings on the ground.
These riddles can becompleted by deciphering the hintsin the poems to place the correct items on the chalk drawing. The Old Fisherman Ryhme riddle is one such puzzlefound in the Light House Trailer Park areaof the map once the water level in Watery has receded.
You won’t be able to accessthis puzzleif you haven’t completed the overlap in Waterysince the trailer park area will remain inaccessible as long as it is flooded.
How To Find The Old Fisherman Rhyme Riddle?
To solve this riddle, head to the Light House Trailer Park area andgo to the Fish cleaning stationon the south side of the park. On top of the metallic counter,you will find an item called the ‘Bear Doll’placed next to a giant fish. Take the Bear Doll and save it in your inventory for later.
You will alsofind a ‘Wise Elder Doll’a little to the left on the same counter. Just like the Bear Doll,collect the Wise Elder doll and head towards the docks.
These twodolls are necessary to solvethe Old Fisherman puzzle you will encounter later.
Apart from the two dolls in the fish cleaning station, you cancollect two more dolls from the green benchesat the docks on the right side of the fish cleaning station. These are the ‘Child Doll’ and the ‘Mother Doll’.
Althoughyou don’t need the Mother Doll and the Child Dollfor this puzzle, they might be useful for other riddles.
After collecting all the dolls,continue to the end of the docsand take a left. You willfind the riddle on the leftend of the docs.
How To Solve The Old Fisherman Rhyme Riddle?
Read the followingpoem on the center pagewhen you encounter the fisherman’s rhyme.
The old fisherman had great luck
His catch at sea was beyond belief
But the hungry guest found relief
In the fisherman’s bountiful truck
You will also seefive different chalk drawingsaround the page. These include a wave, the sun, a candy, a house, and a tree.Follow the hintfrom the first two lines. You must draw the connection between the old fisherman, the wise doll, and the wave with the sea.
This tells you toplace the wise doll on the wave. Afterward, place thebear doll on the candysince you can spot the similarity between the words hungry, bear, and the doll.
Once you place the dolls on the right drawing,you will see flasheson your screenconfirming that you have completed the puzzle.
After completing the puzzle, you can return to the fish cleaning station tocollect aCoffee World Charm. When equipped, this charm willincrease the quality and quantityof the resources you find.
When you head back to the fish cleaning station, ensure tohave your weapons outsince completing the puzzlewill spawn ‘Taken’ hostilesin the area.
