Summary
WhileFortniteis a free-to-play experience, there are ways you can spend money on the game, and one of the most common methods of this is the Battle Pass. Fortnite is regularly recieves major updates in the form of a new season, and less often, a new chapter, and each of these will have their own premium Battle Pass.
Each of these Battle Pass' is a limited-time purchase thatgives you various skinsand other cosmetics. Once the season is up, the skins are no longer available, and some players lament missing out on some iconic skins that will never be available again, so which skins are the most sought after?

10Doctor Slone
Chapter 2 Season 7
Some of the most iconic skins in Fortnite are the characters that are the most important to the story, and one of the best examples of this is Doctor Slone. This character was introduced to Fortnite in Chapter 2 Season 7, a season that was known for its alien-theming.
Slone was one of the few human characters featured on the more intergalactic Battle Pass, but throughout the season her true loyalty to the Imagined Order was exposed. She is one of the more customizable skins, with a more casual and a battle outfit.
9Mancake
Chapter 2 Season 5
The theme for Chapter 2 Season 5 was bounty hunters, and the skin designers took inspiration from all different places to create a Battle Pass featuring all different styles of bounty hunters that Battle Pass players could obtain and play as.
While the same Battle Pass included aniconic crossover skinin the form of the Mandalorian, a choice more memorable within the Fortnite universe is Mancake. This man-pancake hybrid was often found lurking around the map as an NPC and had a diner in both the Chapter 2 and 3 map at different points.
8Mystique
Chapter 2 Season 4
Unlike most other seasons of Fortnite,Chapter 2 Season 4 stood outfor how all of the skins on the Battle Pass were Marvel characters, as this was the theme for the whole season with plenty of Marvel-themed locations as well. The Pass contained plenty of iconic Marvel characters, but one of the most creative skins you could obtain was X-Men veteran Mystique.
Plenty of skins have reactive abilities, but Mystique’s ability to transform into opponents she has downed makes her the envy of players who missed out on this Battle Pass.
7Drift
Chapter 1 Season 5
In Chapter 1, the Battle Pass system was just getting introduced into Fortnite, and while there are plenty of characters who are still beloved, there aren’t as many as there are in later chapters that improved the overall character designs. However, one skin that many late-adopters of Fortnite missed out on was Drift from Chapter 1 Season 5.
Drift is unique as he was the first skin to introduce multiple forms you unlock throughout the Battle Pass. While this version of the skin was limited, you may still buy Summer Drift when he is occasionally in the Item Shop.
6Rippley
Chapter 2 Season 1
While Chapter 1 featured a few mascot characters, the tradition of each Battle Pass featuring a mascot of sorts was properly established at the beginning of Chapter 2 with Rippley. Rippley’s design matched the Slurp that was prevalent in certain areas of the map, and he was so popular that even more Slurp-themed characters were added after him.
Chapter 2 Season 1 Battle Pass skins also received multiple new forms, and for Rippley, this meant getting the option to make him red or purple as well.
5Darth Vader
Chapter 3 Season 3
In later Fortnite seasons, it has become a tradition for every Battle Pass to have at least one crossover skin from a famous series, and a character that was included as part of this tradition was Darth Vader.
Perhaps the most iconic sci-fi villain was free for any player that had the Battle Pass in Chapter 3 Season 3, and the season also featured plenty more Star Wars theming, with the antagonist occasionally setting up base on different parts of the map to attack players that challenge him.
4Meowscles
Chapter 2 Season 2
The recurring tradition of mascot character was continued after Rippley with Meowscles in Chapter 2 Season 2. The character, as the name implies, is a sligtly unnerving, slightly cute cat-human hybrid with plenty of muscles. By completing missions throughout the season, you could unlock a shadow or ghost version of Meowscles giving him even more options for customizability.
This character has proven to be so popular that players who missed out on the limited Battle Pass have recieved other versions of Meowscles in the shop occasionally, such as a retro cartoon version.
3Spider-Man
Chapter 3 Season 1
It always feels a bit like a gift when a skin you would be happy to pay for in the item shop is included in the Battle Pass, even though the Battle Pass is paid as well, and a great example of this is Spider-Man from Chapter 3 Season 1.
The famed Marvel webslinger had been notably absent from the Marvel festivities in Chapter 2 Season 4, so having him, with two extra colour variations, featured in the Battle Pass was a great addition. There are some alternate versions of the hero occasionally available in the item shop, but it is impressive that the first Spider-Man was in the Battle Pass.
2Peely
Chapter 1 Season 8
While there were some attempts at mascot characters featured earlier on in Chapter 1, arguably the first big success at an iconic Fortnite mascot in the Battle Pass was Peely. The anthropomorphic banana helped the Chapter 1 Season 8 Battle Pass really stand out, and the ongoing popularity of the character can be proven by the many other versions of him that followed.
Variants of Peely have featured in later Battle Passes, like Agent Peely in Chapter 2 Season 2, and the newest Lil Split, being an ice cream version of Peely in Chapter 4 Season OG.
1Midas
A character in Fortnite that matches their popularity to their story relevance is Midas. The final skin in the Chapter 2 Season 2 Battle Pass quickly became iconic with his simple but striking design. The character was incredibly important to the map changes being made in the early seasons of Chapter 2, and his gimmick that turns the weapons he holds gold ensures you always know when you are playing with someone using Midas.
Like many other iconic skins, there are alternate versions of Midas in the item shop available to those who missed him, but none top the original.
