MinecraftJava Edition has over 30 built-in achievements you may pursue. While getting every achievement in the game won’t award you a fancy, golden badge like it would onSteam, it can, at the very least, give you some direction if you find yourself not knowing what to do next.
Alternatively, you could always try to go for the hardest achievements, take a screenshot as proof, and flex on your friends. The only issue is, you need to know what achievements will give you the most hassle, and thus, the most clout upon completion. Thankfully, we’ve got you covered in that department.

8On A Rail
How Long Does This Rail Have To Go?
The On A Rail Achievement requires you to make a minecart, lay down a really long railway, and from start to finish, ride it for at least one kilometer. If you’re having trouble imagining what a kilometer looks like in Minecraft, it’s exactly 1,000 blocks.
If you have the resources, investing in some Redstone powered rail, and laying your railway on steep slopes as much as possible, will get you this achievement in no time. For most, the hardest part of this achievement is gathering the resources required.

7When Pigs Fly
It’s Best If You Get This Achievement By Accident
The When Pigs Fly achievement makes you wonder what was going through the minds ofMojang’sdevelopment team, since it requires you to find an unassuming, innocent pig, throw a saddle on it, and wait for it to fall off a cliff.
Well, it doesn’t have to be that dramatic, but the pig does need to fall at least five blocks, which will harm it. This almost feels like a philosophical trolley problem; are you willing to forgo your ego and skip this achievement, or are you willing to be a monster?

6Sniper Duel
The Most Epic, MLG, Pro-Gamer Duel Ever
The Sniper Duel achievement requires you to fire an arrow at a skeleton, wither skeleton, or stray, and deal a killing blow from a distance of at least 50 blocks. If you want to make it as easy as possible, just find a skeleton and shoot it a few times.
Sure, it might not be as exciting as PvP gamemodes from other games, like SWAT inHalo Infinite, but it might be fun taking a few pot shots to account for the distance. Although, this small bit of practice could translate into useful experience for Bedwars and other, PvP minigames.

5Return To Sender
Playing Baseball In Hell
The Return To Sender achievement requires you to dive into the Nether, find a Ghast, wait for it to shoot a fireball at you, hit it with perfect timing so that it gets reflected away from you, and have your crosshair aimed at the Ghast at the moment of reflection, so that it gets hit with the fireball and perishes.
Just remember to bring in some gear or potions that will protect you from fire and explosive damage just in case you mess up a few times; it’d suck to lose all your items in the Nether. There’s no shame in messing up, though —Ghasts do rank somewhat high in terms of Nether mobs.

4Beaconator
How To Completely Deplete Your Ore Reserves
The Beaconator achievement, not to be confused with that Wendy’s burger you might’ve eaten the other day, requires you to create a full-sized Beacon, and stand near it until the Beacon block blasts that magnificent, bright beam of light straight into the sky.
If you need help making a full-sized Beacon pyramid, such as the minimum dimensions or which resources you can use for it,check out this in-depth guide on everything you need to know about Beacons. If you’re looking for the cheap solution, stick to Iron blocks.

3The Beginning
This Dude Hits Way Too Hard
The Beginning achievement requires you to defeat The Wither, which is certainly easier said than done, especially if you’re not fully prepared for this fight. To be fair, though,The Wither is arguably the strongest enemy in the game.
If you’ve never fought this boss mob before, the most essential info you need to know is:

2The End
Wait, What Will You Do Now?
The End achievement requires you to find and enter an End portal, defeat the Ender Dragon, and safely make it back to the overworld. It’s a lot of time and preparation, but this achievement is very doable, especially if you already have a few Ender Dragon kills under your belt.
If you’re nervous about the fight, just overprepare; bring enchanted apples, healing and regeneration potions, powerful enchanted weapons and armor, like a bow and netherite gear, and if possible, invite as many friends as you can to help out.

1Adventuring Time
Chugging Potions Of Swiftness Is Advised
The Adventuring Time achievement requires you to visit every biome in the game at least once. If that doesn’t sound very difficult to you, keep in mind that there are over 30 biomes you’ll have to visit; this is going to take some time.
To make the process as fast as possible, it’s recommended that, at minimum, you brew some Potions of Swiftness. In an ideal situation, though, you’d already have an Elytra and plenty of fireworks to zoom around the world for a while until the achievement pops.
