There is a lot to do inThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and nobody wants to help. If there’s a minor issue, it’s up to Link to solve it because he is, apparently, the only capable person in the entirety of Hyrule. Sure, it’s understandable that only Link could complete the main quests, but there are a lot of side quests that speak to the lack of motivation throughout the entirety of Hyrule.
For it to be a side quest, it needs to be named- no personal missions, like trying to launch yourself halfway through Hyrule with nothing more than Revali’s Gale and a well-constructed Magnesis contraption.

Breath Of The Wild Has 77 Base Game Side Quests
If you’re playinga version earlier than 1.3, you’re going to be looking at 76 base-game side questsscattered over the entirety of Hyrule. Not every side quest will be available before you defeat each area’s Divine Beast, so it’s worth heading back through every area at least a few times.
Some quests are chains, meaning that you have to finish one in order for the other to trigger, but for the most part, they are one-and-done.This, of course, doesn’t include shrine quests.

If you’re playingafter the Version 1.3 release, then you will have access to 77 questsbecause of a collaboration with Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The quest is conveniently titled Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and should activate as soon as you’ve loaded (or reloaded) the world of Hyrule.
This might be one of the harder quests you come to face, given that you have to catch three red shooting stars, which are, inconveniently, hard to spot and even harder to catch.

The Master Trials DLC Has Seven Side Quests
If you have the Master Trials DLC, thenyou get an extra seven side questson top of the base game’s 77. Although the side quests are, for the most part, treasure hunts for clothing, there are two unique and challenging side quests in The Master Trials that offer a pretty great reward.
The Trial of the Sword is one of the hardest by far, but if you manage to complete it, you unlock the Master Sword’s fullest potential. You just have to be really good at the game first. If you fail, you’re sent back to the beginning, which is, honestly, very frustrating, so good luck.
Teleportation Rumors! On the other hand, is notably easier and gives you access to the Teleportation Medallion - a very handy tool, especially in the late game.
The Champion’s Ballad side quests areexclusively gear-based.If you want the Phantom Armor set, or you want to spice up your horse’s garb with the Ancient Horse armor, you’re in luck. Thankfully, these six side questsand treasure hunts aren’t challenging to make your way through.
Also, the main point of Champion’s Ballad was not the side quests, but its main quest additions and dungeons; otherwise, it would have been a really dismal addition to the game.
