When discussingEternights, it is easy for the conversation to shift to the dating sim aspects or the time management, but one underrated aspect of the game is the enemy design. While some of the enemies may feel a little incohesive, the bosses all have phenomenal grotesque designs.
These bosses are also some of the most challenging moments in the relatively short game, and if you have not built the hero correctly, you might have to grind to feel prepared enough to take them down. So, out of all the main bosses in Eternights, which are the toughest to take down?

7Hammer Monster
Act 01 largely acts as a tutorial for Eternights, and you only properly unlock combat when you reach the end of the chapter. While you have already had a short tutorial, the game throws you into the deep end when Delia sets the Hammer Monster on you.
The monster is aggressive, and the timing to perfect dodge its attacks might end with you taking some heavy-hitting damage, and there is a good chance you will have to retry when learning the intricacies of combat on the fly. The uniqueness of this monster does wane when you realize it becomes a standard enemy later on in the game though.

Since this is one of the earliest combat experiences in Eternights, don’t worry if you are struggling. Instead, use this boss as an opportunity to get accustomed to the dodging system.
6Decoy Monster
After Min has recovered from her injury earlier in Act 03, you will need her help to break the pillar that is reinforcing the wall your train needs to travel through. During this, the pillar will be defended by the Decoy Monster, with its flailing doll waving around on its head, all over its hulking body charging at you.
By this point in the game, you will be more accustomed to the standard fare of dodging and attacking, only this time you will be relying on Min’s magic to break the barrier. In spite of its cool design, this enemy will not take too much effort compared to other enemies around this point in the game.

This is one of the earliest fights in the game you will have Min in your party. The monster is weak to her electric magic, so verify to use it as often as possible to weaken it.
5Boho8
Halfway through exploring the Kafka Labs with Sia, you will run into a corrupted Boho8, the life’s work of her friend who worked at the laboratory. The robot stands out from other bosses, with a different style of animations making it a little tougher to dodge in early attempts.
However, by the time you have learned how to dodge this enemy’s attacks, it will not actually take that long to take it down. In spite of this, the ease you have in this fight will depend on how much you have leveled up Sia’s abilities, since she is the only help you are going to get.

Unlike the other late-game bosses, you will only have Sia in your party for this fight, so ensure that you have your HP buffed enough to supplement not having access to Min’s defensive and Yuna’s healing abilities.
4Infected Hacker
Infected Hacker might be one of the first roadblocks you run into in Eternights with it being the first proper boss after a full combat exploration section, and chances to level up some abilities. The game expects you to be a lot more prepared than you were in Act 01 for the Hammer Monster, and Infected Hacker will take a lot more effort to beat down.
You will need to manage your SP to ensure that you have Yuna’s healing abilities in the later portions of the fight, and you will also want to take into account the change in attack patterns the enemy has in its second phase.

By the end of Act 02, you will likely have gotten used to using Yuna’s healing. Make sure you can balance your SP and pull off the healing effect quickly without taking any avoidable hits.
3Delia
Delia is set up as one of the main antagonists throughout most of Eternights, and your final encounter with her is at the end of Kafka Labs. She is the pawn of Umbra, and by the end of the fight, she has completely lost herself to the power she has been lent by Umbra.
This makes her a frantic foe to take down, and with her being a lot smaller than monsters, you can easily struggle to hit her with attacks that usually land with no issue. Her second phase is even more aggressive, but hopefully by the end of Act 04, you will have enough abilities to be able to take her down quickly once her barriers are down!

With Delia being a smaller boss, it is occasionally possible to stun her if you stack up your offensive abilities, so try this strategy if you are struggling.
2Pillar Monster
The second pillar in Act 03 puts up an actual fight, running away from Min when she tries to destroy it, and the chase makes up the final portions of the Act. Perhaps just as challenging as the fight is the bike ride you need to perfect to reach the encounter, but it doesn’t let up after this.
Depending on how prepared you are when you reach the end of Act 03, this boss can cause a lot of trouble, with its fast animations, wide range, and small opportunities to deal damage. If you don’t want to go back and grind, you may learn and perfect its attack patterns, but it will take time to work out.

This boss is incredibly fast and will punish you at a close range, so try and keep your distance in your first few attempts so you can work out its attack patterns.
1Umbra
It is fitting that the final boss in Eternights is the toughest boss you will fight throughout the game, and it will feel personal with how Umbra has kidnapped and fused with your love interest. The fight is not an easy one, with the tentacles in the first phase surrounded by mobs, and then needing to pull off the heroes' ultimate ability to break Umbra’s shield.
Depending on the buffs you chose throughout the game, breaking the barriers might take a while, but if you have Yohan’s elemental gauge buff, this boss can be made a little easier, but it definitely won’t be a cakewalk either way.
Throughout the fights in Act 05, try and practice using the Hero’s ultimate skill, this will make pulling it off in this challenging boss fight feel more natural!
