Fans of the Uzi family of SMGs will want to unlock the WSP weapons inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3as soon as possible. The WSP-9 is the largest, hardest-hitting SMG of the bunch, behaving more like an assault rifle than a close-quarters weapon.

Its excellent damage profile and low recoil make the WSP-9 an excellent Multiplayer weapon and a decent option for MWZ, but it’s when you add attachments that this weapon starts to truly shine. This guide will showcase two builds for the WSP-9 that make it excel for all playstyles, featuring a stealth loadout and an aftermarket conversion variant.

Pros And Cons

The WSP-9 is a devastating SMG right out of the box, but the weapon does suffer from a small magazine and moderate recoil. The first issue can be addressed with the40 Round Magattachment. For recoil, theWSP Classics Factory Stockreduces your recoil by nearly 25% on its own, making this weapon far more accurate. Throw on theSL Skeletal Vertical Grip, and now the weapon will only have noticeable recoil during its first three shots.

To make this a proper stealth build, we equip theShadowstrike Suppressor Sto hide our gunfire from enemy radar. Finish the build withany optic, and you have a powerful SMG that can handle mid to long-range gunfights with ease. It does have asomewhat slow ADS speed of 253ms, so try to preaim corners when you can.

Field Upgrade

Preference

Most SMG builds gravitate towards theInfantry Vestfor its extended tactical sprint duration, and this WSP-9 loadout is no different.Covert Sneakerswill muffle your footsteps and make aggressive pushes much safer. Paired withGhost, you will be hidden from enemy radar so long as you’re moving. For your glove slot, use theAssault Glovesto remove all ADS and accuracy penalties from jumpshotting.

As for equipment, the most important item is theStimTactical. This lets you immediately heal after a gunfight and refresh your tactical sprint. Any lethal will work here, but you may’t go wrong with aThrowing Knifefor an easy one-hit kill. Secondary weapons will vary depending on your playstyle. Some good options include the Renetti andakimbo WSP Stingers.

1mw Artemis Laser (Laser)

The WSP-9 has a conversion kit that turns it into a pocket battle rifle, sacrificing fire rate for damage and bullet velocity. Unlike certain conversion kits like the MTZ-762, there are virtually no drawbacks we need to fix.Any opticwill fix the weapon’s ugly iron sights, andthe Shadowstrike Suppressorwill keep you hidden from enemy radar.

ADS speed is the only thing the WSP-9 struggles with, so we’ll use theLachmann Havoc Stockto fix this. Your new ADS speed will be236ms,a solid value for a mid-range weapon. The WSP-9 also sways quite a bit with this .45 conversion kit, but you can fix this by using the1mw Artemis Laser.If you don’t mind the sway, throw on a barrel or grip attachment instead.

We are recommending thesame loadout as the previous buildsince it plays identically to the default WSP-9.This version fires much slower than the default WSP, so try to fight targets at medium range when possible. This weapon also has some intense first-shot recoil.After the first shot, this weapon becomes pinpoint accurate.Keep this in mind if you fight anyone past 30 meters.
