Summary
After getting a new character inHonkai: Star Rail, curating a team around that character to get the most value is one of the major decisions you have to make. Characters in the game are divided into seven paths and combat types, but each one of them also has a unique play style.
Argenti is a five-star Physical character on the path of Erudition, and he’s the only character in the game with double Ultimates. If you get to activate his enhanced Ultimate, you’ll deal much higher damage. Some characters can make this process much easier, hence becoming a phenomenal teammate for him.
7March 7th
March 7th is a four-star character that everyone playing the game has since she’s the first free character you getthrough the main story. She’s a phenomenal sustainer as she can shield one ally with her Skill every time she gets a turn, but there’s an added effect to this ability that makes her much more synergistic with Argenti.
If an ally with her shield has over 30 percent HP, the chances of that ally getting attacked are greatly increased. If you put this shield on Argenti and he starts getting attacked more often, it’ll help him regenerate his Energy quicker while also preventing the rest of your party from getting defeated.
6Pela
Looks like Argenti has a special place for Ice characters in his heart since he goes well with a lot of them. Pela is a four-star Nihility character that you may only obtain through the Gacha System unless you play during an event where she’s given for free. Her Ultimate can reduce the DEF of all enemies on the field at once.
If you build her properly, you’re able to have 100 percent uptime on this Ultimate, and the AoE effect helps Argenti’s abilities since his Skill and Ultimate both attack every ally on the field.
5Himeko
What’s better than one DPS character in a team? Two DPS characters. Himeko might not be the best character to use by herself, but she can be quite good with Argenti, especially if you, unfortunately, lost your 50:50 to her and had to guarantee him. She’s also a five-star Erudition character and has a special follow-up for Weakness Breaks.
Whenever a certain number of Weakness Breaks are triggered, she launches an attack that deals decent damage to all enemies on the field. This attack can be launched much more often with Argenti since he attacks all the enemies on the field and has decent Toughness damage.
4Huohuo
Huohuo is a limited five-star character that was first released in the same update as Argenti, and she’s one of thestrongest healers in the gamesince she also has Harmony aspects in her kit. Whenever you use Huohuo’s Ultimate, she regenerates some Energy for the entire party based on their respective Max Energy.
This is the best buff you can get for Argenti since you have to build up a whopping 180 Energy on him to deal big DMG. She also gives everyone an ATK boost for two turns and prevents your characters from getting knocked out of battle.
3Hanya
Released alongside Argenti when she first came to Honkai: Star Rail, Hanya is a four-star character with a special ability to regenerate Skill Points for your team. When she uses her Skill on an opponent, it applies them with Burden, and Burdened enemies give extra SP generation when they’re hit.
You can also deal more damage to this enemy if you get one of her Bonus Abilities. Finally, Hanya’s Ultimate can increase Argenti’s SPD and ATK, which are both great stats for him since the higher SPD will let him get more turns and gain more Energy.
2Guinaifen
Guinaifen might have been released as an exclusive support for Kafka’s DoT team, but the Firekiss aspect of her kit allows her to be a decent teammate for other DPS characters as well. She applies Firekiss on enemies whenever they take damage from her Burn, and this increases the DMG taken by the enemy affected.
She can apply the Burn effect to three enemies with her Skill, which gives you a regular source of increased DMG as long as you can have other team members to make up for the Skill Points required by both Guinaifen and Argenti.
1Tingyun
Out of all the support characters in Honkai: Star Rail, Tingyun is arguably the best one for Argenti since she can give him a whopping 50 Energy every time her Ultimate is used. She can also increase his DMG with this ability and ATK with her Skill, giving Argenti every buff that he could possibly ask for.
If you manage to get some constellations, she can even increase his SPD with her Ultimate. Apart from all of this, Tingyun is also decent at Skill Point generation since you only need to use her Skill every three turns on average.
