7Passive Learning
On their first turn in combat, the Operative randomly distributes the same number of exploits as when using Analyse Enemies among all enemies in a 10-cell radius around the Operative. At the start of each of the Operative’s subsequent turns, they distribute half as many exploits (half the base amount) among all enemies in a 2-cell radius around the Operative)
As an Operative, giving targets an exploit is pretty important. Exploits essentially increase the damage you do while attacking the target. To get specific, one exploit will cause you to deal a percentage more of damage based on the perception bonus.
So, with Passive Learning, you can distribute exploits to targets around you automatically, without using AP. This is a great talent of Operatives in general, making it a great early-build choice.
6Instant Exposure
Expose Weakness costs 0 AP.
The previous talent was quite a mouthful, but Instant Exposure gets right to the point. With this talent, Expose Weakness will not use any AP, which can be used several times throughout a battle.
Expose Weakness removes all exploits, however, it also decreases the target’s dodge, parry, and armor by a percentage based on the exploit stacks and the user’s perception. Instant Exposure is another handy talent that is helpful in a variety of situations, like one-on-one combat with a tough enemy. Give them exploits, deal damage, expose their weakness, and then deal more damage!
5Melta Weapon Proficiency
Allows the character to use melta weapons, such as a meltagun, multi-melta, and others.
Thenext two talentsaren’t both essential; instead, it’s a good idea to get one or the other. With the Melta Weapon Proficiency, Pasqal is able to use melta weapons, which are an anti-tank weapon.
Melta weapons are more effective at a closer range than plasma weapons, but can penetrate armor of strong enemies. With this talent, you may send Pasqal to the frontlines and deal heavy damage to powerful bosses.
4Plasma Weapon Proficiency

With Passive Learning, as well as any ability that deals exploits, it’s important to invest in the Offensive Pattern Prediction talent. Any enemy with an exploit will deal less damage to you, which is always a good thing.

As you’re able to tell, exploits are the bread-and-butter of Operatives. With Reactive Study, any nearby enemy with an exploit will gain even more if they attack your party. With more exploit stacks, enemies will be more affected by abilities such as Expose Weakness.
Reactive Study deals with enemies close toPasqal and other party members, which pairs well if you also have Passive Learning and Melta Weapon Proficiency.
1Utility Mechadendrite
This mechadendrite is equipped with all kinds of tools to communicate with machine spirits. Increase Tech-Use and Demolition by +10.
Last but not least, we have Utility Mechadendrite. This talent essentially boosts Pasqal’s Tech-Use and Demolition by a lot. With a higher Tech-Use, Pasqal can repair and use “complex mechanical items”, hack cogitators, and open locked doors.
