When playing a spellcaster, you sometimes might not pay attention to your weapons. You probably won’t stab fools or shoot arrows at them with your Sorcerer unless you have a specific multiclass going on. Still,Baldur’s Gate 3has some interesting options for your caster, giving you extra spells or increasing the efficiency of your spells, for instance.
So, what should you hold with your hand while throwing fireballs left and right? Keep in mind these weapons are best when Sorcerer is your sole class, but these items would be handy for Wizards and Warlocks as well, depending on your build. Or if you really want your Monk to have a free spell, for whatever reason.

Spell Attacks work similarly to weapon attacks, meaning a bonus to them increases the chance of hitting your spell attack.
Difficulty Class (DC) is a number your enemies need to hit to avoid being affected by your spell.

The higher your spell DC, the more difficult it is for enemies to save themselves from your Hold Person, Fireball, etc.
7The Spellsparkler
Weaker compared to other options here,The Spellsparkleris worth mentioning for how early you may get it, as it’s available in Act 1. Whenever you deal damage with a cantrip or a spell, you get two Lightning Charges.
These charges give you a +1lightning damageto your next attack, and once you get five charges, the damage will be a d8. Extra damage is always fun, and they stack withMagic Missiles, making each bolt have a +1 on their damage.

6Staff Of Arcane Blessing
TheStaff Of Arcane Blessingis another staff you can find early on that gives you a free use ofBless. This gives your Sorcerer a good support ability for themselves and their friends, as it gives you an extra d4on your Attack Rolls— weapon or magic — and Saving Throws, and you’ll be able to use it on three creatures, yourself included.
That’s not all, though. When you have Bless while wielding this weapon — regardless of if you cast the spell or someone cast it on you — you’ll roll an extra 2d4 instead of a single d4 for your Attack Rolls, as long as they’re spell attacks.

5Staff Of Interruption
The Staff of Interruption doesn’t do much compared to the other ones here, but its one feature might save you, making it worth having until you get better options or leave it with a companion. It grants you free use ofCounterspellper long rest.
The best part is that this Counterspell is cast as a level five spell instead of the usual three. That means it has a better chance of preventing whatever spell is going your way, as it will stop a fifth-level spell or lower 100 percent of the time.

4Mourning Frost
If you intend to focus on Cold damage, your cryomancer should build theMourning Froststaff. It gives youRay of Frostfor free, and anytime you hit someone with Cold damage, they’ll get a condition called Chilled, which will make them vulnerable to Cold damage.
That means every attack that uses Cold damage on the target will cause twice as much damage as usual. Just be careful; Chilled will also make enemies resistant to Fire damage, so mixing your cold and fire spells while wielding this staff is not the best idea.

3Woe
Woe increases your power and vitality, which is helpful considering how low your hit die is. You get a +1 bonus for your spell attacks and spell save DC. It also gives you free use of the spellBlightonce per long rest, which causes a lot of necrotic damage on a single target.
The fun part is that, whenever someone fails your Spell Saving Throws, you’ll be healed by a d4. That means a powerful area attack can heal you per enemy hit as long as they fail the check.Send Cazador our regards.

2Staff Of Spellpower
Raphael’s House of Hope is full of trinkets. Stored inside a magic vault — the same where you find theHelldusk Gloves— you’ll find theStaff of Spellpower. It grants you a +1 bonus to your spell attacks and your DC. It also has a fantastic feature called Arcane Battery, which can be toggled on and off and used once per long rest.
When turned on, Arcane Battery allows you to use whatever spell you choose without consuming a spell slot. So, if you already wasted your level six spell slots, you may still strike the enemy again with a powerful spell, thanks to this staff.
1Markoheshkir
The only legendary quarterstaff. TheMarkoheshkiris the same as the Staff of Spellpower, but better. It also has a +1 to your spell attacks and your spell DCs and features Arcane Battery for you to use. But there’s more.
Once per short rest, you can use a feature called Kereska’s Favour, which has many variations. Each variation will give you resistance to a specific element and two spells you can cast once per short rest without costing you spell slots. For example, the Bolts of Doom variation will make you resistant to lightning damage and cast Lightning Bolt andChain Lightningonce before your short rest.
