8Jump Then Turn To Avoid Fall Damage

Don’t Take Unnecessary Damage

This is a tip that you might discover accidentally; when you want to jump off of a big cliff but don’t want to take fall damage, jump off and then turn your character around so that they can grab onto the wall towards the bottom of the fall. Grabbing onto the wall and then climbing down the rest of the way will completely avoid fall damage, allowing you to make your way down the cliffs more safely.

This does take a few attempts to truly master, but once you can fall enough and then twist your character to grab the cliff, you will find yourself exploring more quickly as you don’t need to rely on stamina or fear falling.

Palworld: Frostallion boss amidst glaciers with its wings open

Even when you unlock your glider, you might still find yourself using this method from time to time, due to the amount of stamina needed to safely use the glider to get to the ground.

7Switch Your Pals In Boss Battles

Sometimes Your Pal Needs A Rest

Instead of letting your Pals fight to their death, it’s much more beneficial to keep an eye on their health. If they are getting low, quickly switch them out for another Pal that is also strong, and let them heal up in their sphere.

Healing doesn’t take as long as you’d think, and if you have a well-balanced team, you’re able to find that a Pal can go out two or three times to fully help you beat a boss. This is also especially good if you have a favorite type that you like using, as often you will have at least one that is a very high level, and once they die you will find that it’s a lot more challenging to do enough damage to defeat the boss.

6Create Outposts

Work Smarter, Not Harder

Out in the greater world, you can find a bunch of spots that have sulfur or other resources that are not so common at your base. You should create second bases, or outposts, at these locations and set up specialist Pals to do all of the hard work for you.

You can then focus on exploring and strengthening your main base, and check back to gather these more valuable resources when you need them. It’s quite cheap to set up new bases once you have unlocked the ability, and gathering more valuable resources will be needed by that point too.

When you create a new base it has the same Pal Cap as your current base and automatically gets a teleport point so that you may easily travel there.

5Exploring Safety

Always Have A Flying Pal

When you are exploring a new area of the map, and you might not be quite at a matching level of the Pals that are roaming wild, it is well worth taking a flying Pal with you and keeping to the coastline. If you find yourself up against some particularly challenging wild Pals, you can easily fly off to sea and very few Pals can chase you.

If you instead explore a lot of the mainland, especially if you are in an area that is much stronger than you, you will often die and not even be able to easily make it back to where your stuff is. This can be extremely frustrating and avoided through more careful exploration.

4Mark Your Map With Friends

Always Handy To Have A Friend.

When exploring new areas, you can find special NPCs that are always in specific locations. Take the Small Settlement, for example, where there is always a merchant and a Pal merchant located within the buildings there.

You can easily teleport to the settlement and trade with the merchant and pal merchant to gain items that you would otherwise have to grind for. Marking these on the map early on will save you a lot of time when it comes to needing very specific items!

You can also mark your map to show dangers that are always in locations, like Syndicate bases.

3Check Syndicate Bases

They Have Some Fun Pals

Not all syndicate bases are made equally, and some have garbage Pals inside that you can easily get at your base. However, it’s worth sneaking around and looking to see what Pal they have currently in their cage.

If you see a Pal that you don’t have within the cage, you can likely easily destroy these enemies and take the Pal for yourself. This is a great way to get rarer Pals and expand your collection, and you don’t even need to have any spheres.

2Put Low-Level Pals In Your Party

They Gain Experience

If you capture some low-level Pals, you should put them in your party and let them adventure with you. Palworld has experience sharing, so them being a part of your party will allow them to gain experience from you killing and gathering resources.

When these lower-level Pals level up, they gain better skills making them more useful, which will also allow you to sell them for more if you do end up selling off your Pals. You are not likely to use every single Pal you take out with you, so having one slot dedicated to leveling up your lower-level friends is worth the time.

1Build A Prep-Kit

Just In Case

If you do explore a big area and die, tragically, possibly surrounded by enemies that are going to give you a challenging time if you come back, it’s best to have a prep kit. This would be a chest with extra armor and weapons that allow you to easily put back on some armor and defend yourself as you try to get your items back.

This is especially useful if you die in an area that requires specific armor to travel around, as otherwise, you are going to struggle to make your way through that area without anything to protect you!
