Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3has four new marksman rifles for players to try, most of which are quite powerful in the hands of an accurate player. The MCW 6.8 is arguably one of MW3’s best weapons in this category, featuring minimal recoil, one-hit headshots, and a full-auto conversion kit that turns the gun into a battle rifle.

If you can handle the weapon’s recoil, you can use the MCW 6.8 to great effect in both core Multiplayer and Warzone. But to make the MCW 6.8 a true powerhouse, you will need the right build. This guide will showcase two builds that push this weapon to its limit, featuring a powerful stealth build and a full-auto variant that uses the MCW 6.8’s unique conversion kit.

Stealth MCW 6.8 Build

The MCW 6.8 is already a fantastic marksman rifle without any attachments, but you can make this an excellent stealth weapon with a few attachments. Use theShadowstriker Suppressor Lto completely hide your minimap icon while firing, and then pair it withyour choice of opticfor easy headshots.

The weapon does have a small amount of recoil, but this can easily be fixed with theRB Claw-PSL Grip.This greatly reduces the gun’s recoil at the cost of aiming stability. you may compensate for the stability reduction by using theSL Warforged Precision Stock.Throw on theSL Skeletal Vertical Gripfor more ADS speed, and you have the perfect mid-range marksman rifle.

Loadout Recommendations

A suppressed weapon won’t do much without the use of Ghost or theAssassin Vest.We opt for the latter since it makes you invisible to enemy radar at all times, even while stationary. Throw onCovert Sneakersto muffle your footstep audio, and enemies will struggle to find you. For gloves, we useMarksman Glovesto reduce incoming flinch.

You can replace EOD with Hijacked IFF Strobe if you want to hide from enemy killstreaks and equipment.

As for your equipment, we recommendStimsto recover your HP quickly andThrowing Knivesfor quick one-hit kills when an enemy gets near you. Your secondary should cover close-range duels. Any fast-firing pistols, such as the Renettiand WSP Stinger, are ideal for this loadout.

Full-Auto MCW 6.8 Build

This build converts the MCW 6.8 into afull-auto marksman rifle.TheMCW 6.8 Full-Auto Conversion Kitwill lower your damage to 53 per upper torso hit and 58 per headshot, but the weapon will now fire in full-auto at 400 RPM. It’s effectively a battle rifle with a shockingly fast reload speed.

There is a noticeable increase to the gun’s recoil with this conversion kit installed, so we recommend using theRB Crotallus Assault Stock.It more or less removes the added recoil from the conversion kit. Throw on theShadowstrike Suppressor L,an optic, and theSL Skeletal Vertical Gripto complete the build.
