Jujutsu Kaisen has cemented itself as one of the bestanimeshows out there. It has a lot of great protagonists, villains, and even side characters, many excellent action sequences, and a captivating story. The animation style is also excellent and fits the story well.
Another great thing about Jujutsu Kaisen is its openings, which, as any anime fan will tell you, are very important for a good anime to have. Jujutsu Kaisen has had four openings so far, and each one has been great. However, how would each of these openings rank when stacked against each other?

4Opening Two - Vivid Vice
The Kyoto Goodwill Event Arc
Jujutsu Kaisen is known to be a dark, mysterious, and gritty anime with lighthearted elements and comedic moments sprinkled in. The anime does a great job of communicating that with each opening that it has had so far. The Vivid Vice opening does not disappoint in that regard, and portrays that dark and gritty theme very well, showing that this is one of those anime for a mature audience.
Vivid Vice has a lot of dark and mysterious elements, and the mood and atmosphere are correctly set by the song in every way, from the voice of the vocalist to the instruments and even the song’s progression. The anime also teases a lot of significant events that happen during the arc, including some major fight scenes. These events are teased well in the sense that they are original to the opening, and the actual events, while similar, still hold a lot of weight and feel new and surprising when they are revealed.

3Opening Three - Specialz
The Shibuya Incident Arc
The entire opening comes with a dark red, mysterious color theme that sets the mood for what you are about to witness. It showcases in snippets and moments how scary and dangerous the villains of Jujutsu Kaisen can truly be, and how much of a threat they are to Yuji Itadori and his companions.
The show’s protagonists are also shown in perilous situations facing heavy adversity, including apowerful and popular characterlike Gojo, who has been established to be the strongest, further expressing that these villains are dangerous. The song Specialz hammers home this point by being an epic but intimidating upbeat tune that hangs heavy over the animated sequences. The arc has major consequences for the story as a whole and strongly influences the growth and development of the story and all the main characters.

2Opening Zero - Where Our Blue Is
The Cursed Child Arc
‘Where Our Blue Is’ is a more relaxed and colorfully themed opening. It is a lighthearted and fun-filled song, and the animated sequences have some excellent fight scenes, but they also feature characters simply having fun and developing bonds with one another. However, it is vastly different from the openings of the main story, which makes sense, seeing as it is a prequel spinoff movie.
It’s a welcome change from what fans of the main show are used to, as it adequately portrays the kind of story that is being told in the movie and clearly expresses how much things have changed between the time of the prequel and the main story. The film itself is excellent and answers a lot of questions that fans of the show may have. This entire arc plays out in a single prequel movie and takes you through Tokyo Jujutsu High two years before the start of the main story. This story arc is very significant and ties in properly with the Shibuya Incident Arc.

1Opening One - Kakiai Kitan
A Fitting Beginning
The first-ever Jujutsu Kaisen opening is still the best one to date. It perfectly sets the backdrop for what kind of series this is. With the calm and mysterious song, Kakai Kitan perfectly conveys that you’re in for a dark and gritty world and characters.
The animated sequence starts out slow and epic and ramps up as the song progresses. It shows off all the major, interesting characters, giving you an exciting look at the kinds of protagonists you will be rooting for. It also makes sure to keep Sukuna’s presence as evident and mysterious as possible, always lurking and always present. Overall, in terms of music, presentation, relevance to the story, and significance to viewers, this opening has not been topped just yet. Although that might change, Jujutsu Kaisen still has a lot of great arcs, episodes, and adventures for viewers.
