Hey, where’s ourMinecraftstats guy? Wait, they lost funding for that department? How is anyone supposed to quickly display what their coordinates are, find out trades that a villager is offering, or show the durability of their tools, armor, and weapons? Heck, that’s not to mention food saturation levels or horse info either.

If that goofy hypothetical resonated with you in any way, this is your sign to check out the best HUD mods that the modding community has to offer. At the very least, grab a coordinates mod so you don’t give yourself eye fatigue every time you open the F3 menu.

All mods mentioned are compatible with Minecraft Java Edition 1.20 or above. Make sure you read what kind of dependencies each mod requires, such as Fabric, Forge, or anything else.

Have you ever wanted to know exactly how many blocks you can break with a tool, or how many swings you have with a weapon, before they break? With the Durability Viewer mod, you’ll not only able to see exactly that, but also:

Although many of you eventually get used to it, it’s reasonable to say that the vanilla F3 menu is absolutely packed with information, much of which the average player doesn’t need to see, and thus, can be rather overstimulating and fatiguing to sift through.

Usually, this menu is opened to see your own coordinate data, but with the Coordinates Display mod, you can get exactly that, but have that information show in the top-left of your screen at all times; say goodbye to screen-obstructing, information overload.

Apple Skin is a rather simple HUD mod, but despite that, is able to provide incredibly useful, food-related information whenever you hold an edible item in your hand. If you’re holding a porkchop, for example, you’d know how many hearts and hunger level it’d restore through a gentle, gradual flashing animation.

If you want to know how much saturation a food will give you, a stat that is completely hidden in the base game, you can simply hover an edible item in your inventory, and a window will pop up to show that information.

The Inventory HUD+ mod is your one-stop shop for customizable overlays displaying real-time information about what’s currently in your inventory, what potion effects are active, and how long they’ll last. It also has a durability display for armor and equipment.

Thanks to a handy, in-game config GUI, you can drag and drop where you want each element on your screen, and resize them to your liking. Want a ton of information on your screen at all times? Need specific info in a minimalist format? Customize to your heart’s content.

There was always something special about the HUD in the earlierHalogames, likeHalo 3. It’s probably a safe bet that at least some of you can remember, and hear in your head the beeping noise that played when your energy shield broke.

Sadly, the Halo HUD mod probably won’t give you that level of nostalgia, but it does add a really handy, circular GUI around your crosshair representing health, EXP, and hunger information. This is particularly useful if you have a big monitor and find looking down at your hotbar to be a chore.

Picture this scenario: you and your friends finally completed that long path of ice, and now you can zoom down it with your wooden boats. Pretty awesome, right? The only thing is, you’re still left with a nagging question: just how fast can you get with this mode of transportation?

A player riding a horse has speed and jump height HUD elements on-screen, showing as green and purple bars, respectively.

While Boat HUD offers everything from simple to complex, boat-related info displayed just above your hotbar, it can be interesting nonetheless to see your speed in kilometers per hour, a throttle and brake indicator, drift angles, and other tidbits of information.

Instead of having to right-click on every villager you find, why not grab the Offers HUD mod and see every trade a villager has to offer displayed as HUD elements on the left side of your screen? All those small, time-consuming actions do add up, after all.

Although, seeing the trade offers a villager has is only half the battle;if you want to explore everything there is to know about trading with villagers, we have a guide for that with handy quick links that let you jump to the info you’re looking for.

In the vanilla game, there’s sadly no way to accurately know just how good a horse’s stats are. Instead, you have to ride every horse you see and come to your own conclusion if it ‘feels’ better than your current, main horse, which is a detail covered in ourcomplete guide to horse stats and abilities.

To save you a bunch of time, and to give your character’s body a break being bucked around by wild horses, you should pick up the Ride HUD mod, which allows you to quickly, accurately, and objectively find the best horses by their stats.
