Even though you can punch and throw objects at enemies for fantastic kills,RoboCop: Rogue Cityis still all about shooting bad guys at its core. There are 18 weapons in total, but which ones are the best? The list below will go through the ones you should keep an eye out for.
They are not all available at the beginning, so you will have to settle for less until the great ones come along. Since you can only carry one other weapon at a time, and the limited ammo, forces you to switch weapons frequently, so you will become familiar with all of these throughout the campaign.

10Auto 9
RoboCop’s Service Weapon. It’s With Him At All Times And Has Infinite Ammo
The Auto 9 is the iconic weapon the protagonistuses throughout the films. You have to get used to only carrying one other weapon besides it, but the infinite ammo means you’ll never be trapped in a corner with no options. Its greatest strength is its malleability.
The chip modification system allows you to input different stat upgrades to the weapon. You have to be careful since it can also downgrade your weapon if you are not smart about it.

9Heavy Machine Gun
Humans Use It As A Turret, UEDs Use It As A Normal Weapon
This gun is rare in the first half of the game, being found only as a mounted gun through some levels. After UEDs, the robotic enemies meant to replace the police force, are introduced in the Shady Meeting mission, they become much more common.
They eat up their 100-bullet magazine quickly, but they tear up enemies with ease. Like most big machine guns, the reload animation is long, but it is a worthy trade-off considering its power.

8Combat Shotgun S12
First Found In The Correctional Facility In The Mission Wendell’s Confession
With how enemies are thrown around like ragdolls, you can already imagine how satisfying it is to blow away an enemy with a shotgun blast. The Combat Shotgun S12 is the best of its kind because of its larger magazine.
The Wendell’s Confession mission is over halfway through the game, though, so you’ll have to settle with the regular Combat Shotgun until then, though that is a perfectly adequate shotgun, too. The range is not incredible, but there is always the Auto 9 for the enemies who are further away.

7Heavy Pistol .50 Calibur
Found In The Mission “Street Vulture’s Turf”
Two other pistols exist besides the Auto 9: The 9mm and the .50 Cal. The former is redundant since the Auto 9 is with you at all times. The .50 Cal, however, is a work of art. Remember Harry’s “Do you feel lucky, punk?” monologue about his 44 Magnum in Dirty Harry?
The whole blowing someone’s head clean off line also applies to the .50 Cal in Rogue City. It’s basically a one-hit kill on most human enemies and will take down UEDs in just a few shots as well.

6Cobra Assault Canon
One Sniping Segment In No Way Out
You might only use this weapon in one specific part of the journey, but it makes an impact for sure. You are directed to go to the sniper’s nest in the No Way Out mission at a construction site for Delta City.
Once there, you find the rifle and use it to shoot at guards ganging up on you. The Cobra Assault Cannon fires explosive shells that can eliminate whole groups of enemies with one shot. The ammo might deplete quickly, but the memory of the carnage will live on forever.

5Micro SMG
Carried By Most Common Street Vultures
The Micro SMG shows up in abundance during the campaign, and it is quite reliable. When it comes to weapons that are easy to find, you cannot really get any better. The automatic firing rate is perfect for most firefights where you are one person against dozens.
With so many destructible environments, it is also just a great way to make every gunfight look like a ballet of destruction. The fact it’s so common also means you are rarely hurting for ammunition.

4Assault Rifle KH-21
First Shows Up The In The Street Vulture’s Turf Mission
Before the Street Vulture’s Turf mission, the only assault rifle available is the Assault Rifle 74. Once you reach this level (that takes place in a steel mill), you may ditch it and focus on the KH-21. It’s basically an improved version of the 74.
The strength holds up both in close and long range. Even as the Assault Rifle RBS Mk2 is introduced in the correctional facility, the KH-21 still has its advantages over it, like a shorter reload time.

3Sniper Rifle .50 Cal
First Shows Up In The Street Vulture’s Turf Mission
This gun is introduced along with the enemy type that uses it. Until this point in the game, most combat scenarios have been in tight, closed spaces. The steel mill is an open area, and enemies snipe you from far away, making this gun a necessity.
Later battles, especially ones with UEDs, take place in closed boxes where you have to consider all directions and not just push forward. The Sniper Rifle is useful here for picking enemies off from across the room.

Look through the scope and activate slow motion, an ability upgraded by leveling up the Focus skill, for an easy method of lining up shots in the heat of battle.
2Grenade Launcher
The steel mill is where the game takes off the training wheels and starts throwing harder enemies at you with different types of weapons. Even gangsters with grenade launchers start attacking RoboCop.
The plus side is that you can take the weapon off their dead bodies after they are defeated. The Grenade Launcher is great for crowd control and also for hitting the bikers who drive at you on their motorcycles. They detonate on impact so no worries about waiting for an explosion.

1Assault Rifle RBS Mk 2
Found In Wendell’s Confession. Wendell’s Mercenaries Often Carry Them
This is undoubtedly the strongest assault rifle in the game, but its power comes with one major drawback: a painfully long reload time. All the same, it will make quick work of armored enemies from a long distance, so it is a good gun to have, if only just for a moment.
The correctional facility level (Wendell’s Confession) introduces mercenaries whose commanders are heavily armored. Use the RBS Mk 2 to whittle their health down from a distance to take care of them before ever having to get close. The scope also makes long-range kills easy.
