With the onset of Chapter 5,Fortnitehas created a Rocket Racing game mode that lets youcontrol a carand drift through different maps to achieve first place. Alongside this game mode, there is also a ranked system, which not only determines your skill level but also the amount of maps you can play on.

Lower-ranked players will only have access to easier courses, but if you progress to gold, you can play on all 25 of the tracks in the game. If you are curious about which tracks are the best to race on, then check out the list below.

While your rank determines which maps you can play on in the online multiplayer, you can always head to the lobby screen to select any of the 25 maps and practice them alone or with your friends in an unranked match.

10K2 Raceway

Since K2 Raceway is part of the introductory tracks that are unlocked when you first start playing the game, this is the perfect course to practice your racing skills on. Most importantly, this map features some long curves, meaning you can easily fill up your drift meter and get maximum charge on your boosts.

On top of practicing your driving mechanics, this map also contains some refreshing scenery that the other maps in the bronze tier do not sport. Specifically, instead of the typical desert map, this map includes green trees, grass, and two large castles with purple roofs.

9Bone Cavern 2

Bone Cavern is one of many courses with two iterations, with the second being significantly more difficult than the first. This map is distinctive for the massive orange and red zones placed throughout a tight tunnel.

In Rocket Racing, these orange zones slow your car down if you drive through them, so you will have to practice your jumping skills and ensure that you always land on the green boost zones. Once you exit this dangerous tunnel, prepare for a sharp turn as you enter into a massive dinosaur skull and repeat the lap.

8Tilted Turnpike

Inspired by one ofFortnite’s famous Places of Interest,Tilted Turnpike features the iconic bell tower from the Tilted Towers landing zone. This map is largely under construction, meaning that various stages of the course feature torn-up buildings, just like when Tilted Towers itself was damaged and in disrepair.

Sadly, there are an overwhelming number of orange zones on this map that slow you down, making it difficult to boost through different zones. If you are a newer player to Rocket Racing, then we recommend saving this map for when you are significantly more experienced.

7Anaconda

The Anaconda map is unlocked once you hit the gold rank, and is themed around ancient Mayan temples. Inspired by the jungles from Chapter 4 Season 3, this map features a large temple you drive through, muddy paths, and twisting turns across vines.

While this map certainly has a solid theme, the course itself is somewhat lackluster. Besides the jump off the temple itself, there are only a few turns in the jungle before you end up back at the start line, making it a nice course for newer players.

6Cliff Runner

Although this racetrack is relatively simple, this map can be a great teaching tool to introduce you to different pathways and shortcuts, and how these routes can ensure your victory. This map isyet another desert-themed course, with multiple walls that you can drive on that determine different pathways you can take to the finish line.

The most important aspect of this track is to always take the shortcut that appears after you take off at the start of the race. After you begin driving around the long turn, you can immediately drift to the right and skip around an entire turn with this shortcut, allowing you to get ahead of your fellow racers with ease.

5Windy Way

Similar to Cliff Runner, Windy Way is another map that features multiple pathways that can increase the speed at which you finish the track. This specific course is a bit more complicated, as it contains many twists and turns and even sections where the racetrack intersects with itself.

When crossing these intersections, be extremely careful not to crash into racers going in different directions, or you’ll risk completely spinning out or crashing. Other than these dangerous intersections, verify you conserve your jump boosts, so you have enough charge to travel over large gaps.

An image from Rocket Racing of the Sidewinder map, which features the skeleton of a snake and a massive tunnel.

4Sidewinder

Although the Sidewinder map is only unlocked when you reach the Silver rank, you should not underestimate just how wild this map gets during a full race. This map is designed around the skeleton of a massive snake, where you enter into the mouth of the beast and traverse through a thin tunnel.

This tunnel is the most dangerous portion of the entire map — it features sharp turns that can cause you to accidentally drive backwards if you boost yourself too fast. Furthermore, other cars in the tunnel may knock your car around or even spin you out, so drive carefully while inside the belly of this skeletal beast.

3Pleasant Pitstop

Pleasant Pitstop is one of the most interesting tracks in the game, as it features a large section of the map that is completely torn apart into separate pathways. After leaving the starting line, you travel over a pit by jumping with your car and scaling walls, which then leads to a sharp turn.

After drifting through this turn, you’ll enter a section of the map that contains multiple different pathways for you to take. We recommend heading to the left of the course and then shifting to the right, since you can hit two different green boost pads that will speed you along the course.

An image from Rocket Racing of the Riviera map, which is based of the Citadel POI. This massive map will have you driving through castles and beaches to reach the finish line.

2Riviera

Riviera is another course that is inspired by a famous POI, this time being The Citadel from Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1. The Citadel is a massive castle that also contains smaller castles and a tiny village at the base of the fortress.

This map takes you along the coastline on what feels like the longest track in the entire game, where you’ll be driving through dense forests and battlements. Remember to take certain turns on this map slowly, since crashing into a castle wall on this map will make you immediately respawn.

An image from Rocket Racing of the Olympus map, which is another desert map that has everything on offer. This map is split up into diffrerent gravity-defying sections.

1Olympus

Olympus is the best course available in Rocket Racing — it provides you with everything you could want on a single map. This is another desert-themed world, but this area has been suspiciously shifted with antigravity zones, multiple gaps that require skilled jumps, and sharp turns that are perfect to drift on.

Furthermore, the entire track is not visually similar to other desert courses, since there is a massive river that runs through the course, providing some much-needed natural aesthetics.
