Warhammer 40,000: Darktideoffers a series of unique classes, each with their own pros, cons, and equipment available to them. No matter what your playstyle, you’ll find at least one class that goes along with your own skills.
But what happens when you reach the end of that class? When you reach the venerable level 30 cap and have no more skill points or new weaponry to unlock? Don’t fret; it’s not time to delete Darktide and move on. Thankfully, plenty of adventures still await you in the underhive of Tertium, and they’re all as deadly as the last.
7Try Out Damnation
Highway To Hell
While 30 may be the end of the line for leveling up, it definitely doesn’t mean your days of challenging missions are over. It’s still all too easy for you to find yourself on the bad side of a horde of plague-touched citizens. For an extra bit of challenge though, even at level 30,Damnation difficulty is herefor you.
More enemies, fewer chances at health and ammo, plus some modifiers that are sure to keep you guessing; Damnation difficulty isn’t for the faint of heart. Even a four-person squad of max-level fighters will be in for a tough fight with daemonhosts, plague ogryn, and everything else in-between all leveled against you.
6Try Another Class
Something For Everyone
Level 30 in one class means nothing for the other ones. While the currency you collect carries over from one character to another, the levels don’t. That means you’ll have to reach max-level multiple times to see everything the game has in store for you.
Trying out each of the classes is definitely recommended, it allows you to see all the playstyles Darktide has for you, and by the time you max out all of them, you will have a great understanding of what each class can do. This also means better teamwork when you go back to your preferred class. Or, learning one of the other classes is your favorite instead.
5Hone Your Equipment
Lasers, And Plasma, And Bullets, Oh My
Most classes run out of new additions to their arsenal sometime before reaching their level cap, but you can still improve upon them. To do so, the first step is finding equipment you like. Once you have your favorite arsenal of weapons and curios, you get to take them to Hadron to improve.
You’re sure to have done this prior to level 30, but salvaging old modifiers and perks and combining them with new ones is the perfect way to hit a power level of 550 with a weapon unlike any other. A plasma gun with faster cooldown, penetration, and damage is a force to be reckoned with, and that’s just one example of the equipment you’re able to slowly tinker with.
4No-Death Runs

While it may seem impossible for new players, coming out of a mission with no team deaths is a little more manageable after level 30. In fact, the game wants you to do this, with a handful of different challenges for you to complete by finishing missions without deaths, resulting in unlocked outfits for your respective class.
To do so, teamwork is the key, andlone-wolf tacticsare to be left behind in lieu of cohesion and combined firepower. With a little bit of luck and skill, you’ll be making short work of even the strongest of heretics.
3Dive Into The Lore

The universe ofWarhammer 40,000has been built upon over decades of writing and games. With that, it’s impossible to see the whole picture in only one game. There are plenty of books, games, and websites that paint a broader picture of this grim dark universe where war is around every corner.
Just be careful though, after looking into the lore, you’ll be all too aware of just how powerful some of the enemies of mankind are and just how little one veteran with a shovel can do in that universe. At least the Emperor protects.
2Be A Guide
A Veritable Virgil To The Underhive
Being maxed out with your characters can be quite the reward. What better way to spread that feeling than to help other players get there, too? Enter in to some lower-level missions with the goal of aiding other players.
Weaken overpowered enemies, point out loot, and focus on support skills to help your team reap all the rewards they can. No one likes an overpowered player coming in and taking all the kills, so work against that ideal and help other players experience the tense joy of Darktide.
1Try Different Skill Loadouts
See The Forest For The Skilltrees
Darktide is pretty open with the idea of respec-ing your character at any point between missions. You are sure to have filled out one branch of the skill tree at your character’s level cap, plus some extra bits, so why not go back in and experiment a little bit?
You may find another branch in the tree that fits your specific playstyle better, and if not, you can at least save these loadouts for later use. A veteran with a more sharpshooter skillset is a lot different than one who’s focused on cohesion and stunning skills. It can be a way to revitalize a class that may start to turn stale.
