Tekken 8players are doing exactly what you’d expect with the Super Ghost Battles and training them to do what every fighting player does - teabag.

As I discovered in a recent preview, Tekken 8 is packed full of content for players to make their way through, both in its offline and online modes. One of the most surprising ones, however, isSuper Ghost Battle, which evolves the ghost mechanic found in previous games and makes it so that playing against an AI opponent will actually train them up to act just like you do.

The intended outcome of using this new feature is to be able to learn how you act when using a certain character and then learn from that to hopefully become even better with them and get over any shortcomings. Jump attack too much and you’ll see your Ghost doing it too, informing you to keep on the ground more often and not leave yourself open.

It’s a clever mechanic that acts as a great teaching tool for new and veteran players alike, but it seems that some fans have already found some funny uses for it.One example comes from Twitter user Fergus_TK, who has been messing around with Super Ghost Battlesas part of the new single-player demo that released earlier this week, and they’ve found that Ghosts really can mimic player’s actions, even the ones that they probably shouldn’t.

Over on Twitter, Fergus_TK shared a clip of them going up against their Ghost, who they’ve trained to teabag whenever they drop a combo. In the video, Fergus_TK and his ghost can both be seen playing as Nina, who is shown dropping a long combo at one point in the video and then following it up with a few hesitant teabags, before going all in and mercilessly dunking.

While Tekken 8 now has a tool that almost encourages teabagging, other fighting games are trying to move away from it, like Mortal Kombat turning consecutive crouches into a taunt. Not that that stopped players from figuring out a way, though.

Fergus_TK seems just as surprised as we are that the Ghost has already caught on to teabagging and completed their training, but it does go to show just how well the AI will replicate the behaviour of players. you may probably expect to see that a whole bunch when Tekken 8 launches next month.
