Tekken 8has onlybeen out for four daysand already players are mastering the game’s customisation. At launch, the community quickly put togetherLeon Kennedy, Walter White, and Bayonettaskins to name a few, but nowMortal Kombatfans are bleeding onto the scene and transforming the entire game.

“This might be the closest we ever get to a new 3D Mortal Kombat,” @MK_habit_addict tweeted, attaching a video of Liu Kang and Sub-Zero getting ready to brawl in Tekken. Of course, they didn’t stop there, following it up with a custom-made Scorpion.

Another fan, RIPMrMufasi on Reddit, posted a collection of six Mortal Kombat customs. There’s Kenshi, Scorpion, Kitana, Mileena, Stryker, and Liu Kang.

YouTuber VKNinja also tried their hand at a few of these iconic Mortal Kombat characters, creating Scorpion, an MKX variant of Mileena, Sub-Zero, and Kung Lao.

Not counting duplicates, that means Mortal Kombat fans have brought eight of NetherRealm’s fighters into the world of Tekken. Again, that’s only four days after launch. We’ll no doubt see that number continue to grow as players grow even more in tune with the customisation system. Perhaps we’ll even see Shao Kahn, Quan-Chi, and some of the other villains on the roster soon enough.

It’s not just Mortal Kombat fans who are using Tekken to play as their favourite characters from other fighting games. TheStreet Fightercommunity is getting in on the action, too.

Fans have brought Ryu to the game, evenrecreating his iconic fist bump with Ken, while anothertransformed Lili into Manon. Others have given characters who missed out on Street Fighter 6 their due, like Poison.

We probably won’t see these characters officially crossover with Tekken 8, but the customisation is so in-depth that we don’t need official skins to bring these characters to the game. You can have Scorpion fighting Ryu in the world of Tekken if you’re creative enough.
