Of the many things you can do in MyCareer inNBA 2K24, Team Practice may not be the most exciting, but it’s worth doing. It doesn’t involve playing anyone else online, it doesn’t rack up points for your MyPlayer, it doesn’t increase your popularity. But it does help you fine-tune some of the important skills you need to succeed across MyCareer in the game, whether that’s in Career games, at the Rec, or any of the other game modes at your disposal.
There are lots of things you can do in Team Practice. Check out each practice drill, what you can get from open shootaround, and other things you can do during Team Practice.

Details on Each Drill in Team Practice
The primary purpose of Team Practice isDrills, whereyou can hone your skills and gain Badge Points for your MyPlayer. Each Drill has a level — Easy, Medium, or Hard — andyou will receive Badge Pointswhen you finish the Drillbased on the difficulty level and your success in the Drill.
Drills are broken up into four sections, each corresponding to a Badge type for your MyPlayer.

You can only do four Drills in each Team Practice session and must play a Career game before another Team Practice session.
Many drills give you ten attemptsto complete the assigned task, and yourpoints total increases with each successful attempt.

Team Practice Coach-Initiated Drills
Coach-initiated Drillsoccur randomly. They do not happen at each Team Practice session and may come at the beginning of a session or in the middle of partaking in other Drills.
Many of these Drills are team-based, likemini-scrimmages or practicing defense or scoring as a unit. These Drills will give you twice the normal amount of Badge Points.
You cannot control when these Drills come and what type of Drills they are.
What to Do During Team Practice Shootaround
When you first enter Team Practice, you are given the opportunity to just shoot around. Doing this is fairly easy.
Simply go up to a ball, which your MyPlayer will pick up. Then you’re able to go shoot at whichever basket you want, however you want, from wherever you want. You can also call for a pass from a ball boy, which keeps you from chasing down every shot and rebound.
Some shootaround achievements will give you MyPoints or VC. Some of these achievements include: making consecutive shots without dribbling or moving, making five shots in a row, making a shot in each basket within 10 seconds, and making a dribble move into a made shot.
Shootaround is a good time to practice mastering the shooting meteryou have set for your MyPlayer.
You cannot practice shooting against a defender in an open shootaround but can do so in the Team Practice Drills listed above.
Non-Playing Options During Team Practice
The Team Practice session also has a few fun things you can do that have nothing to do with shooting or completing Drills.
Most of these are automated interactions with items in the gym, like the water fountain or water bottles around the court. You can also do stretches against a wall pad or greet the ball boys below the basket.
Themost important non-playing thingyou can do during Team Practice is amedia Interview.
