I mean, Ubisoft wouldn’t delay the game for a seventh time at this late stage, would it?

If you’re still not convinced Skull And Bones will be here when Ubisoft claims, but you’re into it enough to want to make sure you get a copy whenever it does arrive, then the standard edition is likely the best option for you. The former is an alternate attire for your characters, and the latter is a firework you can fire off into the sky, I’m assuming to either intimidate enemies or celebrate victory after you’ve sunk their vessel.
