Remember,you can only choose one option per playthrough, and if you want to collect all the rewards, you’ll need to reroll the Awakened King DLC for another attempt.

Kill The One True King

When you choose to confront andkill the One True King, you’ll find yourself in a boss arena face-off. Despite the initial intimidation, defeating him is relatively straightforward.

The One True King isslowand possessesmelee combos with his hammer, along witha ranged attack where he shoots a beam from his mouth. Additionally,he can teleport around, so be mindful of these moves during the fight.

Once you’ve successfully defeated the One True King, you’ll receive theAgony Spikematerial.Take this item to McCabeat Ward 13 alongsideseven Lumenite Crystals and 1,000 scrapto craft theMonarch Long Gun.

If you have theOne True King Sigil,the Assassin’s Dagger, or theCrown of the Red Princeequipped, you’ll receive theTormentor’s Pommelinstead of the Agony Spike.

Take this material to McCabe, and you’re able to use it to craft theWrathbringer melee weapon.

An additional reward that you can get is when you talk to Nimue at the DLC location and inform her about the task. She will reward you with theJewel Of The Beholden Ring.

Kill Nimue

During your conversation with the king, you’ll come across the option “What is my task, Majesty.”

Opting for this choice prompts him toassign you the mission of eliminating Nimue, the Goddess of Fae, and provides you with theRod of Retributionfor this purpose.

Proceed to Nimue, who is confined in the tower nearby, andinteract with her. She’ll attempt to persuade you that you have a choice and need not follow the One True King’s command.

Spare Nimue

There’s a third option available:choosing to spare Nimue after being tasked to kill her by the One True King. Opting for this alternative leads Nimue to request you tokill the One True King instead, and she bestows upon youNimue’s Vow.

Return to the king, and he’ll be enraged that you’ve become another traitor among the many he has encountered. This triggers the fight, and upon defeating him, you’ll obtainNimue’s Blood-Marred Vow.

With this task accomplished,go back to Nimueand interact with her. She’ll take Nimue’s Blood-Marred Vow and, in appreciation, reward you with theGift of the Unbound Amulet.
