Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3(2023) features a handful of open combat missions, campaign levels that replace scripted set pieces for more open-ended objectives and collectible items. It plays similarly to MW2’s DMZ mode or Warzone, although the addition of armor plates and killstreaks makes them considerably easier than your average CoD level, especially on Veteran difficulty.
Reactor is the second open combat mission in the campaign and arguably the shortest of the bunch. Completing the mission is easy enough, but finding all 28 collectibles and completing the mission’s unique achievement is another story. This guide will showcase where to find every weapon and item on the Reactor level, and we’ll explain how to earn the Helo Hat Trick achievement tied to this level.
Reactor Weapon And Equipment Locations
Reactor has28 collectiblesin total, most of which are weapons. You’ll find most weapons inside of buildings near the center of the map, a few of which are inside locked rooms. Finding an exterior window and/or shooting the chair blocking the door should do the trick.
Plate Carrier Locations
Ascender Location
The Ascender is in the same location as the first plate carrier.Head to the northwest corner of the map and look for a warehouse building. It’ll be next to the plate carrier.
How To Earn The Helo Hat Trick Achievement
The Helo Hat Trick achievement/trophy requires you todestroy each helicopter with a different killstreak.Using explosive weapons or lethal equipment doesnotcount. This is easiest to accomplish with the following:
Stealth Bombers don’t seem to damage the helicopters, and most turret emplacements will ignore them.For the Bomb Drones, be sure you use them against the same helicopterto receive credit. We do recommend grabbing a Sentry Gun when you’re finished, however, as the final mission objective will require you to face a dozen soldiers by yourself.
Destroy The Konni Helicopters
Captain Price will be deployed in the middle of a Konni facility. Your first objective is todestroy three helicopterson the outskirts of the reactor. You’ll need to use explosives to destroy each of them. Killstreaks (called Armaments in-game), C4, and explosive weapons should make short work of each helicopter. Exact helicopters locations are showcased above, one located north, west, and south of the main reactor. Be wary of the infantry guarding each of them. If you aren’t used tomodes such as DMZ, take this part slowly, picking enemies from afar until you find every plate carrier upgrade.
Access The Reactor Core
You will be unable to leave the building once you reach the reactor core. Uncover every collectible before proceeding.
Once the helicopters have been dealt with, you’ll be tasked with entering the reactor and locating the explosive device within.Head to the eastern edge of the map and enter the reactor structure.You’ll have a place to restock on ammo and armor plates before proceeding. Open the door when you’re ready.
After a brief combat encounter,the room will begin to flood with lethal chemicals.Stay on the upper floors as you deal with the Konni agents on the upper catwalks. A Sentry Gun works especially well here. After defeating a dozen of the soldiers, Ghost will tell you to escape by rappeling up a nearby piece of rope.Head to the highest floor possible and attach to the rope.This will complete the mission.
