The Finals’ arenas have many highs and lows… literally. If you’re someone who enjoys agame with great movement, The Finals has lots of ways for you to utilise the terrain. Travelling from the streets of Las Vegas to the skyscrapers of Seoul, there are plenty of buildings to traverse when battling it out with other teams for the objective.

Whatever the game, you’ll find that each map has areas designed for large, open fights while giving small corners of safety when you need to get away. Whether you’re a light character soaring across gaps with yourgrappling hook, a medium hopping across rooftops with a jump pad, or a heavy settling a shield down for a fight, these maps have good and bad points for everyone.

While there are only four maps currently in the game, there are several variants and events that can occur to spice up your games. You might think you know your way around until a giant duck crashes through the arena.

4Skyway Stadium

Skyway Stadium sometimes feels like two separate maps awkardly attached to each other. One section of the map includes big office buildings with open rooms and a large rooftop. Another contains residential buildings, similar to those on the Monaco 2014 map. There are also small areas around with separated houses surrounded by greenery.

While the areas are connected by bridges, ziplines, and jump pads, travelling through the separate sections can feel almost clunky, as if it breaks the flow of movement when you can’t cross the gap easily on your own. Playing in each area has its good and bad points, but merging them together into one map feels like it breaks the rhythm of your game.

What Class Is Best Suited For Skyway Stadium?

Skyway Stadium has a mix of terrain to travel through. Light and medium players will find it easy to traverse across rooftops and transfer into the office areas. Heavy players might find it annoying when needing to travel from one section to another, especially since the bridges and jump pads are in more open areas where you’re vulnerable to attack.

Using shields and mines remains a good tactic for heavy players, but it largely depends on where the objective spawns. If it’s on a higher floor, you might want to destroy the building to bring it to ground level before setting up defences.

3Las Vegas 2032

Unlike other maps, Las Vegas 2032 has lots of wide but short casinos to run through. These buildings have lots of open rooms that are broken up by slot machines and decorations, which can make for some interesting and long-winded fights. Las Vegas only had a few tall buildings, but utilising them will largely depend on where the objective spawns.

With lots of underground areas, you might find yourself spending more time trying to find the fight than actually fighting. There are lots of rooms and corridors that can be interesting to fight in, but only if you’ve got the cover to survive it. If the walls have been destroyed and a team has set up turrets, you’ll have to pray you may move fast enough away before they kill you.

With the abundance of large rooms and low-ground areas, heavy players can play incredibly efficiently. If outside, where there aren’t many places to hide, using shields can help you stay alive. If inside, you’re able to create cover when the rest has been destroyed and pick off enemies trying to hide in plain sight.

Light and medium players can find uses for their movement abilities, but you won’t be able to use them as efficiently as other maps. While you’ll be able to use your faster movement to escape from fights, using cover in those open areas is what keeps you safe.

2Monaco 2014

You’ll recognise Monaco by the large church standing proudly in the middle of the map, unless it’s been destroyed by one of the many variants that can occur in the game. Monaco contains lots of residential buildings that can result in fights along the winding staircases within. Along the edges of the map are more open areas with lots of greenery that can serve as cover when needed.

Since Monaco contains residential buildings, the map is flatter than the others, which can be good or bad, depending on how you prefer to play. The flat rooftops mean long-ranged weapons can be utilised quite well, but it means you don’t have much of a height advantage. Aiming at an enemy on street level can work, but there are many narrow alleyways where enemies can disappear, so you’ll have to make the shot fast.

What Class Is Best Suited For Monaco 2014?

Because Monaco is a flatter map with many twists and turns, heavy and medium players might find it easier to corner other enemies with no escape. Especially by placing turrets and shields, you may set up near an objective easily without fear of your equipment being thrown off the edge when blown up.

Light players may enjoyusing their gadgetsto sneak out of fights and race across rooftops, but there are many places for you to get stuck or trapped while waiting for your specialisation to cool down. Running across the rooftops can be useful and fun, but you’re easily spotted by enemies who are also on the move.

1Seoul 2023

Seoul 2023 has to be the champion of The Finals’ selection of maps. With a good mix of high and low points, there are shining moments for any kind of play. There is an abundance of ziplines, jump pads, and bridges to help you traverse from one section to the next. The placement of these means you don’t have to divert off of your path just to traverse safely. Along with these, there are plenty of narrow alleyways to hide in or ambush your enemies.

With the various spawn locations of the objective, you can easily decide whether you’d like to stay away from the fight to pick people off with a ranged weapon or get close to the battle. Whatever weapon you choose, you’ll still be able to engage in the fight.

What Class Is Best Suited For Seoul 2023?

Seoul is quite an open map with lots of high vantage points for those looking to use the sniper rifle. Light players may find it easier to traverse the map with their grapple hooks and faster movement. Since the map is surrounded by an abyss, light players may also find it easier to avoid falling off the edge, something medium and heavy classes don’t have much luck with.

With the variety of layered buildings, heavy players may find it difficult to settle a shield down without it being blown up. Similarly, medium players may struggle to set up mines and turrets without them being destroyed soon after.
