Get ready to travel high and low inSuper Mario Bros. Wonderwhen you jump into Pole Block Passage. This level is filled with striped blocks that contain retracting poles that Mario can use to navigate the platforms, enemies, and coins that he comes across.

Pay attention to the direction of the stripes on the pole blocks. Some are horizontal while others are vertical. This will help you determine which direction the poles will extend. Pay extra close attention to any pole blocks with stripes in a different pattern, as these may be especially important.

First 10-Flower Coin

Shortly after beginning your initial ascent, you will come across a staircase ofthree horizontal pole blocksand one vertical pole block. To the left will be the first 10-flower coin.

Use thehighestof the threehorizontal pole blocksto extend a pole that reaches far enough to the left.

Second 10-Flower Coin

Continue ascending the level until you reach ayellow pipe.Go through the pipe, pass the midway checkpoint, and continue moving right until you come across the second 10-flower coinfloating above a gap in the platforms.

Ground poundthe pole block to extend a pole far enough to the right to reach the coin. Jump on the pole and press down on your left joystick to make Mariohang beneath the pole.

Quickly grab the coin and get off the pole before it retracts back into the pole block it originated from.

Third 10-Flower Coin

Directly above the second 10-flower coin will be a platform connected tothree brick blocks.Stand on the brick blocks and face Mario to the left.

Above you will be a yellow pipe and a pole block. Use the pole block toreach the yellow pipe.The secret area you are transported to will containtwo pole blocks. Use either oneto reach the top of the room and find thethird 10-flower coin.
