Summary
CollectingFunko Popsfrom your favorite fandoms - and there are a lot of them to collect - is a lot of fun. However, those figures can only look so good sitting on your shelf. If you really want to make your Funko Pops pop then your best bet is to incorporate them into themed displays. Knowing a lot of collectors like to do that, Funko created a collection of Pop! Moments. Collectibles that recreate iconic scenes from games, shows, and movies, and now one of the most famous moments inPokemonhistory is getting the Pop! treatment.
There are various moments throughout Pokemon’s quarter of a century on top worthy of a Pop! Moment, but the one selected by Funko is one anybody who has been playing Pokemon games since the very beginning will remember vividly. The moment when you start the first game for the first time and you’re tasked with picking your starter Pokemon.
Most Pop! Moments feature two figures, so that this upcoming Pokemon set needs to include three makes it more special than most. Bitty Pop! versions of Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle are standing together on a table, waiting for a trainer to walk in and choose one of them. The backdrop is modeled after Professor Oak’s lab, banners representing the starter Pokemon’s types behind them along with a computer monitor, notes, and a bookshelf.
Neither Pokemon nor Funko has officially revealed the Pokemon Starter Deluxe Pop! Moment yet, but the first image of the set has been shared by Pokemon TCG Restocks and other notable Pokemon and Funko accounts. That means there’s no indication of how much the Pop! Moment will cost just yet, nor when it might be released. A look at other Pop! Moment prices does provide clues as to how much the set might cost. The recent Pop! Momentfeaturing all three main characters from The Marvels, for example, costs $40.
Less than two weeks into 2024 and the Kanto Starter Pop! Moment is one of many new Pokemon Funko products already confirmed to be coming soon. Pokemon kicked off the new year byteasing a Pearlescent Lucario Pop!is on the way, and thenpictures of Grookey, Luxray, and Wooloo figures, each of the three making their Funko Pop! debut, were shared online.
