Pokemon and Fendi revealed they’d be teaming upto create a high-end line of bags, clothes, and jewelry in the new year, most of it featuring Dragon-type evolutionary line Dratini, Dragonair, and Dragonite. Well, the new year is here, and so is that promised collection. All of thePokemonproducts created by Fendi are available to buy through the luxury fashion brand’s store (and some of its in-person boutiques) but its quality products are going to cost you quite a bit more than most other Pokemon merch.
The item that caught my eye when the line was revealed late last year was the Dragonite-shaped bag, or totem as it’s called on the site. 40cm tall and made of leather, the bag is incredibly detailed and looks amazing, but that detail and quality is going to cost you. Fendi’s Dragonite bag is $2,290. Perhaps even more surprising than that is the Dragonite-shaped totem isn’t the most expensive item in the collection.
Not even close. That honor goes tothe beaded bag featuring all three of the collection’s starring Pokemon. If you want to own Fendi x Pokemon’s beaded bag you’ll need to spend $9,400. At 27cm long, you may comfortably fit yourSwitchand a copy of Pokemon Violet in there, so should you choose to do so, you can make the bag the world’s most expensive Switch case. Not sure that’s what Fendi has in mind for its high-end bags, but hey, show me a small bag with Pokemon on it and that’s where my mind goes.
Fendi x Pokemon Dragonite Totem
Fendi’s official Pokemon collection includes an entire range of items featuring Dratini, Dragonair, and Dragonite. The item getting the most attention is this Dragonite-shaped totem. 40cm tall and made of leather, it might be the best the OG 151 Pokemon has ever looked.
If you are desperate to own something, anything from the Pokemon x Fendi collection but don’t want to spend thousands of dollars to make that happen, there are some far cheaper (but still more expensive than usual) options. The least you may pay to own something Pokemon-themed from Fendi is $240. That’ll get you a rather fetching silk scarf with Dragonite dotted along it. Alternatively, you can grab yourselfa Dratini bucket hat for $720, and if you wantany of the collection’s t-shirts, you’ll need to part with at least $850.
Fendi x Pokemon Dragonite Silk Scarf
Pokemon has teamed up with high-end Italian fashion brand Fendi to create a range of items featuring Dratini, Dragonair, and Dragonite. This silk scarf has Dragonite dotted along it, sprinkled over the Fendi logo running all the way along it.
It might not seem like it on the surface, but there are a handful of items in the Fendi collection that are cheaper than buying them elsewhere. The jewelry items available are all less than $1,000 each which is cheaper than what you’ll find inPokemon’s new Tiffany collection. That’s Tiffany’s specialty, of course, and its limited edition selection includes a solid gold, diamond-studded Pikachu pendant priced at more than $30,000.
