Those who participate during this two-week event can exchange their hard-earned standing for built Forma, incredibly rare mods, Arcanes, and exclusive Zaw components. This guide will cover every aspect of this year’s Plague Star event, including an overview of the mission itself, optimal loadout recommendations, and the rewards you can expect to earn this year.

What Is Operation: Plague Star?

Operation: Plague Star is a two-week event where the Plains of Eidolon are plagued with a massive Infested boil, germinating mutated creatures that threaten the livelihood of all Ostron. This event unlocks a new bounty type that awards Operational Supply standing, allowing you to purchase exclusive Arcanes, mods, and built Forma. The event runs from November 7 to November 21.

As for why you’d want to run this event,Plague Star is by far the best source of Forma in the game;nothing comes remotely close. An efficient group can complete an Advanced or Steel Path variant of Plague Star in ten minutes, granting enough standing to purchase a built Forma. This meansyou can earnsix Forma an hour, potentially more depending on how efficient your group is. Plague Star also offers Exodia Arcanes, Plague Zaw parts, and the Sacrifice mod for players who have yet to obtain these items.

Eidolon Phylaxis And Infested Catalysts

Retroactive Progress

Any leftover Operational Supply standing, crafted Eidolon Phylaxis, and crafted Infested Catalysts carry over to this year’s event. Crafting blueprints were also carried forward.

The Advanced and Steel Path variants of this bounty require two craftable items in your inventory: Eidolon Phylaxis and Infested Catalysts.Eidolon Phylaxismay be crafted after purchasing the crafting blueprint from Nakak, requiringRank 1: Collaboratorstatus with the Operational Supply Syndicate.Infested Catalystsare craftable after obtaining their blueprint from theBio Lab in your Clan Dojo.Players that aren’t part of a clan will be unable to play the Advanced and Steel Path variants of this event, so we highly suggest joining a clan if you haven’t done so already.

Warframe Operation Plague Star Stage 2 Mixer Defense Objective

With both crafting blueprints obtained, head to your foundry and create both items. So long as you’ve crafted both items, you’ll be able to play the harder Plague Star bounties.Unlike previous years, you donothave to equip these items in your gear wheel; they’ll be consumed automatically during the mission. You only need one of each to start the bounty.

Stage 1: Find The Grineer Encampment

Konzu will direct your squad to a Grineer encampment near the edge of the Plains. He believes that Vay Hek is holding a potent chemical agent that may be used to damage the Infested boil. Create a potent mixture, damage the boil, and Konzu can enjoy an early lunch. It’s a win-win solution for everyone.

Make your way to the waypoint on your HUD and grab the chemical agent. It’s a canister you’ll need to carry with your left hand, restricting you to secondary and melee weapons. Grab it and find a way out of the base.

Stage 2: Defend The Mixer

Now that you have Vay Hek’s toxins, it’s time to brew a deadly pathogen that will destroy the Infested boil.Travel to the chemical mixer marked on your HUD and start the process. You will need to open the vehicle with a terminal before inserting the chemical agent into the mixer.

Doing so will turn the mixer into a defense objective. Your goal is simple:defend the mixer for the next three minutes.Grineer dropships will continuously spawn near the mixer and spawn fodder units to damage the objective. Stay near the objective, kill the Grineer the second they exit the transport, and keep your eyes peeled on the timer.Once the three minutes are up, grab the canister to start the third stage.

Warframe Operation Plague Star Stage 4 Hemocyte Boss

Stage 3: Escort The Drone

This is where your team’s Warframe composition can drastically speed up the mission. You must activate a nearby drone and escort it to the Infested boil at the center of the Plains. This drone counts as an ally, so you can manipulate its speed and location by using Warframe powers. Some good options include:

Grineer drop pods will rain from the sky during this stage, so keep a close eye on your drone to ensure it survives the trip.Stay close to the drone to ensure it keeps moving.

Stage 4: Defeat The Hemocytes

Enemy Highlights

You can enable enemy highlights in the options menu to automatically highlight enemy Infested. This won’t highlight pods in the environment.

Now is the time to deal some damage to the Infested boil. Your squad mustdefeat Infested units that spawnwithoutdestroying any Infested pods. These will periodically sprout from the ground during the encounter and are quite frail. Be sure to avoid AoE weapons and Warframe abilities during this step.

Warframe Plague Star Nakak Offerings

Defeating 25% of the Infested will spawn a Hemocyte miniboss next to the boil, a tankier version of the Lephantis boss on Deimos. This grotesque mass of flesh is invulnerable until one of its three heads begins to attack. This boss features an incoming damage cap, so weapons with high fire rate and multishot are ideal here.Unload as much lead into its weakpoints as you’re able to until the beast falls. Repeat this three more times to complete the Plague Star bounty. Return to Cetus to start again.

Plague Star Rewards

Completing Plague Star bounties for Konzu will earn standing for theOperational Supply Syndicate. This is more or less a second shop UI that Nakak has in Cetus. Speak with them and select the “Operational Supply” option to view this event’s rewards.Unlike other Syndicates, Operational Supply doesnothave a daily standing cap.

You can find Nakak near the central bazaar of Cetus, located a short distance from Master Teasonai. You can fast travel to Nakak through the “Fast Travel” option on the pause menu. You’ll only be able to redeem your standing while Plague Star is active, so be sure to spend all your standing before the event ends. Any leftover standing will be preserved for the next Plague Star event.
