I have a bit of an odd relationship withElden Ring. I wrote before the game launchedin praise of its community, and the strange camaraderie the group shared through several no-shows at potential reveal events. Then the game came out and everyone loved it. At least, almost everyone.I just couldn’t jive with it, and it felt odd to see such an abstruse and difficult gamebe universally praised. There was something I was missing, and like an old TV, if I banged my head against it hard enough, eventually the fuzz and the static would fade into something crystal clear....
